I know it is premature...but after PBF finishes one of the most boring fights in 2007 with ODLH, and Cotto takes care of Urkal....is PBF v. Cotto far more appealing that Margo v. Cotto? I beleive that it would be not only that but I like Cottos chances on this one...Cotto show that he can cut the ring against faster boxer, now PBF is not your average fast guy, he has mayor boxing skills but the Cotto does have an incredible will and this fight would break down on who would impossed who;s will over 12 rounds....If Cotto attack the body for 4 rounds soilidly without worrying about the head and stayed discipline and we know he can, this fight could be over before the 10th.....in Cotto favor...
Cotto has the style to beat him but i thnk it could go either way personaly but iwould probaly pick cotto just cuz i dont like pbf and i cant decide who would win
Doesn't take a genius to figure out that Cotto is not on Mayweather's level. Mayweather is a much more proved and accomplished fighter than Cotto.
Genius doesn;t have to do with anything when it comes to prized fighting.....bigger upset ever happened...many of you guys tought that Ricky HAtton didn;t have a chance against Tszyu, but little did we knew that Tszyu inactivity in the last 4 years of his career will come to haunt him against Hatton....PBF is quick is fast and doesn;t stay in the pocket long, now Cotto can cut the ring against faster boxers and more skill boxers than him. he can hit the body like no other WW right now...and if PBF and his fragile hands get hurt. it will be all over...so no don;lt said that it is boxing and many crazier things had happend!!
couple days separated from '07 - no - cotto will not be winning a fight w/ mayweather as his opponent this year. mayweather is too much for miguelito right now, maybe '08?
Can Cotto beat Mayweather? Of course he can.
Can Mayweather beat Cotto? Of Course he can.
Mayweather isn't unbeatable, and another elite fighter has every chance of beating him. Mayweather would be favourite though.
It is funny how the marginal boxing fan we find on this threads all are ready to hand the "greatest" torch to PBF...agree with you 100%....
Disagreed 100%
If PBF fights Cotto , he will be stronger WW he ever faced, for ODLH he is not a strong boxer, the only fight he had a strong finish was against Quartey...ODLH wqas groom from the biggining of his pro career to be a tall fighter, stronger than his opponents, always fightin g smaller guys, he was a natural JRWW or WW but yet he fought for the early part of his carrer as a SuperFW, moving very slowly to that natural weight.....he alsways wanted to have the advanatage, well eventually that early draining of his weight caused his since as we know, draining your body for a prolong period of your boxing life will affrect your stamina and this has been ODLH number problem as he move up in weight stamina...and he will ge gas after the 7 trying to chase PBF...boring fight no doubt....
well thats certainly a possibility. But i think im right on this one. But lets agree to disagree right now.
So... u know... i can rub in ur face later :D
And the Cotto fight is definetly an interesting fight, but as of right now i dont think Cotto is the great fighter everyone think he is, but then again he hasnt really gotten the oppurtunity yet against a great fighter. Maybe a fight against Margarito or Williams will prove something

yea it is pretty far fetched.
I dont wanna see that fight because i like cotto. He'd get pounded. Mayweather would come to fight and he'd pound cotto to the canvas.
And Mayweather-DLH isnt gonna be a boring fight. Think about it. Dlh can fight with pretty good pressure, and the common consensus is the only to beat mayweather is with good effective pressure.
Add the fact that DLH is the most powerful puncher, and the strongest guy that Mayweather has ever fought... except maybe Corrales but this is like 3 divisions higher up or something... it makes for a great fight.
I really dont see why people are thinkin it'll be a boring fight, because there is a much better chance of it being a great, historical fight. Maybe not FOTY stuff, but a solid action fight none the less.
And hopefully each fighter realizes that more is at stake then just a loss on their respective records, that the ENTIRE SPORT of boxing rides on their back for one night!
If they both come to fight then it'll be a great fight. Simple as that. It's the biggest fight in each fighters career, and in the history of the sport, and each fighter knows it.

We will see......only time will tell, agree to a point...but right know is not as far fetch as so many of you think!

I don't think anyone can beat PBF.......even Oscar coz all he does is run. Hit, run, flush, run,....who wants to watch that guy?
I ahve to agree....and I already mentioned that the ODLH fight will be one of the most boring fights of 2007....no doubt....
Not a fan of PBF but Cotto will not beat him right now.......maybe a few more fights and years.
We will see......only time will tell, agree to a point...but right know is not as far fetch as so many of you think!
Pretty much.
So all you are saying all PBF has to do is just show up and the fight is over.....typical chump answer from newbies that don;t know boxing.....:boxing:

I think he COULD beat him. The more Cotto fights the more i start to beleive he WILL beat him! But its a tough fight to call, like u say Cotto's body work and ability to cut off the ring wouldplay a big part.
