Do fighters perposely look bad?

I doubt it. It just goes against their training and their instincts. I think you are thinking about it too much. I just don't see any fighter trying to look worse, especilly by taking hits. Fighters try too hard to look the best they can, or at least should try. I see where you are coming from, but I really doubt any fighter would take a unnecessary hit.

I doubt a fighter would take a shot intentionally to make themselves look vulnerable, because if they take the shot in the wrong place they'll look really vulnerable laying on the mat. If I'm winky and want a big money fight with a guy who likes to jab, I might let the guy I'm fighting land some jabs that I would of easly blocked or avoided. Especially if I have the chin and I'm fighting a smaller guy. After fighting taylor and takeing big punches from him, I'm sure I can take a couple of jabs from ike who's best fights have been at 147 and 154.

I'm just wondering do great fighter avoided fighters, do they sometimes let them selfs get hit with a punch that they could easly have avoided so that the compatition thinks he is a flawed fighter? Ill use this as an example. In winkys fight with ike I saw him get hit with some punches that I don't think should of ever touched him. Steward and lamply were saying he was getting old, and skill was slowly leaving him. But I personaly think it has to do with the talks of a fight with oscar. If it apears that winky can be hit its more likely that oscar would take this fight after the floyd fight. Do you think this happens alot.? What fighters do you think do this?
