This is the only year end award that im really having some trouble deciding on the winner. There's a handful of good canidates for comeback of the year. What are your thoughts?Vote now!
1.Wlad Klitchko-A championship win over Chris Byrd, and one title defense against top ten ranked Calvin Brock.
2.Shane Mosley-Two wins over Fernando Vargas, one by KO.
3.Oscar De La Hoya-impressive championship win over Mayorga.
4.Oleg Maskaev-Knocked out top heavyweight Rahman for WBC crown.made first title defense against journeyman Peter Okhello.
5.Shannon Briggs-Victory's over journeymen Dicky Ryan and Chris Koval.Knocks out Lyakovich for WBO crown.
6.Bernard Hopkins-after two consecquetive(SP?)controversial losses to Jermain Taylor,he moves up in weight and virtually shuts out the light heavyweight champion.
-Im sure there's other good candidates. But these are just off the top of my head.
gonna have to go with klit. maskaev(a bum) beat a bigger bum that he beat before, no big deal there. although i love watching DLH and his fight with Mayorga, he was a class b fighter. lol and u know i gotta put in emanuel augustus. after a lose in march he came back, avenging his lose against Courtney Burton and having a lil streak going. but still klit deff takes it
I knew Hopkins would beat Tarver. He was lethargic most of his two fighs with Johnson.
Did you see the second fight? LOL.
Tarver set a LHW record for punches thrown.

I picked Maskaev because who would've thought(and picked) a guy who's been KO'd 5 times to comeback from those low points in his career to, first, get ranked number one contender, and secondly, to beat the current champ via KO.
oh ok fair enough,i thought it meant like from retirement or being recently kod or something
in that case,i will have to go with de la hoya, because i dont beleive hopkins lost to taylor
virgil hill won the wba cruiserweight title against at 42 against an undefeated valeri brudov....thats impressive, considering hill had just lost a very close fight to mormeck and was considering retirement....
what did these fighters come back from? i cant make my choice cause i dont understand why the word comeback comes into it,they didnt really go anywhere in the first place
i think he means more like a comeback to the top level.
Like MASKAEV was in oblivion for a long time until this year.
Hopkins was thought of as done after his two losses to taylor. he made a gorgeous comeback to the top this year.
And then he also means a comeback, like a comeback after a long rest.
DLH took 2 years off
as of right now i would say it ought to go to Hernandez for losing 6 rounds out of 8 and down on all cards to get the KO win over Litzau.............
other than that, bah hum bug.......
ODLH surely made the most eye opening comeback.
But id actually go with MOSLEY. Maskaev would be up there, but u get the feeling it wont last.
However Mosley has me convinced hes almost as good as he used to be. I think he has the most promising futures out of all the oldies... except maybe klitschko if he can Unify

I'll go with Bernard. 2 weight classes and 15 pounds in one fight at the age of 41 after losing his last two fights he totally outclassed Tarver and made Tarver THE LAUGHING STOCK OF BOXING.
b-hops does it for me ... you dont come back in at 41 move up 2 classes and shut out the top dog without being a come back kid !
b-hops is this day in ages archie moore!
Audley Harrisons come back against Danny Williams...
that was a class display.. :)
dude i knocked out audley harrison in sparring two weeks ago. hes shite.
Maskaev or Hopkins for sure.
Edit: I'm going with Maskaev. People thought he was garbage and that Rahman would knock him out in a few rounds, but he surprised almost everyone. Everyone knew Hopkins would at least be competitive with Tarver, even in losing.
Good choice Kid..Im stuck between Oleg and Mosley...
Maskaev or Hopkins for sure.
