Valuev gets exposed in this fight, its just a matter of time before he gets put in with someone whos a quick smart puncher and he will crumble

That clip means nothing. A few punches and the big goof was still up and punching. You can pull up a clip like that from most fighters out there. I agree he's nothing great, or even good, but don't base it on that clip.
I have only seen the fight with Monte Barret but has anyone ever tried going to dudes body?? It could be weak..you never know and that mid section is a large target.. You duck under one of those slow swings and counter to his fucking ribs make him even more slower.. You never know...but I have only seen one of his fights so I dunno how dude handles really. I wasn't impressed when I saw him fight Barret I will say that though!
Valuev's strongest suit might be his size, but he also has some other things going for him, most notably his stamina, impressive for any Heavyweight, let alone a guy his size, and reasonably decent all-round skills.
I mean, the guy actually punches in combinations, as well setting thing up with body shots, & does use a jab to set things up (even if it is a bit of pawing jab most of the time).
I think his stamina will make it a very difficult bout for the younger Klitchko, who'll probably have to take him out by mid-rounds to win, which is a very difficult proposition;
and even for James Toney, who may well pick him apart for the first 6 rounds, but imagine him having a lot of trouble dealing with Valuev's pressure in the last 6.
Valuev's no one-dimensional bum who depends only on his size to win bouts, & any fighter that thinks that is going to get a rude shock.
in the title defences i've seen, no one's ever gone to his body... i mean, the guy's so big, there's so much of him to hit, why not crack that long body
one punch isn't going to do it against him, though, i'd like to see how he handles being swarmed by someone that throws more than just one punch at a time - barret was loading up and throwing these single looping shots.

valuev = lady on far right..
Shit! What a shot! Anyway i think theres only a few fighters capable of getting the W over Valuev and that pains me to say that but the division is so weak rite now! But I think Klitschko is definatly 1 of them and i cant wait for the fight to happen so Klitschko can get rid of this big beast!
When you're badly hurt, you don't throw and land punches on the opponent.
That clip only shows Valuev has a very strong chin. He ate several shots and continued throwing his own. What did you want him to do, not get rocked at all? Even Chuvalo and Cobb, guys with better chins than anyone alive, were rocked and had their head snapped back by punches.
dude my point is that even the russian commentator talking there says that all of the people there were booing because Valuev had clearly lost the fight and was still given the decision, I think it will be easy for a good technical puncher to beat Valuev. I am a fan of his but after the Ruiz fight I have been loosing my respect for him, he blew out Owen Beck and I was impressed with that fight but he looked like crap again the Barrett fight, I was watching the fight at my house with a couple of my friends and most of them went home after 6th of 7th round just cause it was so boring and Valuev looked like a freak side show in that fight. I think there were very few people who were impressed by this fight.
exposed? He was hit as hard during the fight with Barrett and still came out strong. If anything's exposed, its the failure of that video to show the meaningful part of the fight, you know, the part where Valuev wins by decision.
Valuev is a freak of nature , hes like the missing link a man beast I think its gonna take something special to knock him out, but he can easily be out boxed
QUOTE=GattiFan;1986860]I dunno....Value-size had the shakey legs when he got hit in the Barret fight.
He may have recovered fast....but that doesnt take away the fact he was wobbled by a guy with water balloons for fists.
I think if you get that big body leaning one way or another and a heavy handed heavyweight hits him on that freakishly large target of a chin...his knees will come unhinged.
Plus...if hes tired... and he has to drag that 400lb freakshow body up off the mat.....
It could happen.
i was beginning to think i was the only one that saw this... barret hurt the caveman, he was just too scared to do follow up. the next time someone catches him with good shots i hope they have the sac to put the pnut butter wit da jelly and follow with some hard combinations to the bean. wlad would destroy valuev, once he saw that he can hit him anyttime he wants. a good little man beats an unskilled big man, though i never thought i'd call wlad little

Valuev seemed woobled quite badly -- Vitaly would have finished Valuev....
Bidenko is not a puncher at all, so I am surprised.

i dont think wlad would knock him down if they were to fight, id stake my money that it will be a TKO with valuev simply not being able to defend himself taking too many unanswered punches at some point.
na man, I dont agree with u, he was badly hurt there, and the same will happen once he fights somene like KLitschko, even Chagaev has a good chance to hurt him and win...
I agree with you about Klitschko but I don't think Chagaev will even come close to do any damage.
I'll stick my neck out and say that with adequate training and an A game Valuev could unify the heavyweight division.
Then i'll redeem myself by saying it will never happen.
Remember, if he gets the keys to the heavyweight door he is only gonna storm through and run a riot. Its just a matter of Valuev getting the keys.
Think about it, if that man had skills, combined with his size and presumably chin he would be unstoppable. Like you said opponents would need to outbox him round after round. And this is where the tactics come into play. He needs to utilise his size, to wear opponents out and keep racking up a few rounds here and there.
Yes you heard it, with a better tactical mind in his corner he could do it. That is my opinion.
If Valuev hasn't learnt how to fight after 46 professional bouts then, he never will.
Not only a strong chin, but his "condition" makes it near impossible for him to get knocked out. I think McCall can take it to 12 close rounds, but it will be tough. I forget what exactly it's called that Valuev has, but you can look it up. His head is a weapon in itself inside the ring. I don't think anyone will ever knock him out.

Dude, he was still punching while that guy was snapping his chin back. Samuel Peter was more hurt vs. James Toney than he was hurt in that clip. That guy not only has a fucking chin, but he recovers ridiculously fast. He went from hurt to fine and then throwing a punch in less than a second.
Exposed? No, he just proved that the guy he was fighting couldn't hurt him with brass knuckles.
