Kermit Cintron vs. Luis Collazo

yeah ok.....I like cintron even though he got beat by Marg .... but you have to look past that it's not his only defining fight.....he has lots to learn but has the raw ability, and i think hs has the heart......it was not enough that night though....and he has had better showeing since then against tuff competition he's proving himself. IMO. Ive said that he seems to have improved and thats a good thing. The Estrada win was very good for him and he killed the other KO guy who's name I cant think of right now. I guess we'll all know the answer after his next fight since most likely it will be against someone real good.

nice post, i think when collazo has to box, he'll box. and he's good at it, quick hands and defense is real good. he blocks really good. against hatton he had to brawl and stay in the middle of the ring, he knew he wouldn't get the decision and as it turned out he was right. he really tried to knock him out in the later rounds but couldn't quite do it. collazo is not in a good situation cause a lot of fighters are scared of him high risk little reward. lets see what don king gets him next.

I respect Cintron and he makes fights exciting look at his KO% SIIIIIIIICCCCCKKKKK!!!! Im not being biased, I have always said that Clottey fight was B.S. Margarito wasnt rusty and didnt have a poor night, it was just that Clottey was by far the best person he has ever fought and he will give Margarito hell no matter whenever they fight

I would pick Cintron if this fight really does happen. I think Cintron has the advantage in height & power and could possibly stop Collazo in the later rounds. To me Collazo seems as if he doesn't fight throughout the whole round instead just picks his spots & lets guys off the hook.

collazo will outbox cintron easy. against hatton he was brawling against a bigger guy he will box. cintron is suseptible to getting hit

I will go with Cintron. Cintron is the strongest punch at WW right now. even stronger than Margarito. I will go with Cintron in this one with KO, he became more displine and more of a boxer used his jab right but he is still not ready for Margarito because he said that by himself and that is why i give Margarito one of the top WW. IMO Margarito will win Williams if he does have problem with southpaw because non-techincal boxer who depend on power and want to left hook a person off without any slips of jab or setup usually ends up like Lacy is cant know till it happen. As for Callzo he is a talented southpaw but the greatest weapon against a southpaw is the straght right which Cintron has it and i think he will jab jab and once Callazo enters striaght right . But Cintron chin is bad and that no problem if you have good tech.

this fight can't be in march, i thought collazo had to fight walter mathysse the argentinian first for the #1 ranking. collazo did get tko'ed by cassiani a hard hitting columbian, but i thought it was a premature stoppage. collazo's boxings skills will give him a easy decision against cintron...

I like Cintron by mid-late stoppage.

Thing is that Cintron got hurt many times. He knows what it feels like to be hurt. As for people who don't know they would give up at times. Cintron could beat Collazo. Kermit does have that one punch KO power. Ever since his loss he has looked ok to me. Coming back with 2 KOs. Everyone thought Cintron would lose. :nonono:

unlike Jermain Taylor Cintron has shown lots of improvement with Steward and will probably beat collazo if he can keep some distance between them and get his jab off

He looked better than Mosely did thats all i'm saying. Mosely did not dominate estrada niether and Kermit put a hurting on him. Also If you look at the fight Kermit had with Margarito, Kermit was doing very well until he got cut. I think He won the first 3 rounds. Also you cant forget that Kermit has tremendous power. 1 punch knockout power. True, also Collazo is a guy who was stopped by Cassiani? And dropped by Hatton in his WW debut? Not saying those guys don't have any power just saying Cintron has more power than both and is not the only one who has a suspect chin.

I disagree with you last 2 guys because of 2 things. 1 is that Reid fights more like Margarito then he does like Estrada. 2 is that we still dont know what the Estrada fight means because Mosley sucked back then. Mosley looked even worse in the fight before that against a bum. Maybe Shane just couldnt handle 147 at that stage. You guys dont seriously think that Shane looked like his normal self in those 2 fights at 147. Look, Im not dissing Cintron. He may certainly be better now then he was back then but that wasnt a bad fight. He wouldve got beat by Margarito the same exact way back then. Would it be different now? Maybe but I doubt it.
