Honestly, I think he's done competitively but we might still see him in a bout of little consequence as a farewell. The way he sat on his stool against Hatton, it showed that he himself understands that with his advancing age, nagging injuries, and the relatively unspirited challenges he's had in recent years coupled with the inactivity of his schedule. I can't see him getting up for the intensity of his training camps again, he just doesn't have anything to prove anymore.
I don't think Tszyu should come back, but I guess a last fight against a decent opponent in convict land would be a good send off for a genuine hall of famer.
If he could still get down to light welter he should fight someone like Ricardo Torres for a belt to retire with.
I don't think he has too much chance to beat Cotto now, and shouldn't feel like he has to fight someone like Cotto now.
Tszyu was always a pretty smart guy, but it comes down to motivation.
If he does want to come back to win a decent title before he retires, think he will need atleast 2 or 3 decent fights to get in shape.
Against Hatton I think he really underestimated him (as did pretty well everyone else) & didn't train as hard as he should of & was simply not focused enough.
Thought if he gets in reasonable shape he'd catch Hatton sooner or later, but that was not the case.
Think if he comes back it will be at Welter, & will most likely go for Cotto.
Doubt he will go for a rematch with Hatton.
Tszyu was one of my favorite fighters but his "I haven't decided about my comeback" crap is getting old, now he's saying that he will decide in 2007. He's been inactive for a lond time and it's only downhill from here IMO.
I think even Tsyzu knows his best days are behind him. I see him doing 1 more fight, against a relative unknown, so it's an easy fight. Tsyzu will win and walk away forever infront of a howntown crowd cheering him on.
Storybook ending in every sense of the words.
dude if your planning on writing an article about this shit don't put this sentence down "The way he sat on his stool against Hatton, it showed that he himself understands that with his advancing age, nagging injuries, and the relatively unspirited challenges he's had in recent years coupled with the inactivity of his schedule." it's a run-on sentence, mawfucka.
that is all.
No article, just I'm trying to generate conversation.
