By P4P in this sense I assume the ratio of top class boxers to population? Cuba - no question. Population of about 7 million & god knows how many top class boxers. OK, the only ones we see in the pro ranks since the 50's are the defectors, but when you considers the majority of US fighters that make the Olympic team go on to being top class pros, & that almost all that get a medal end up winning a pro championship, the cubans are so far ahead of the rest of the world it's almost amusing. Great Amatuers don't always equal great pros. When talking about Cuba, is it really fair? I mean you have 25+ year olds going up against 17, 18, 19, year old Americans. This is why I brought up Foreman: Foreman was only 19, Raw in the game of boxing, but beat the shit out of a Russian Veteran that was older then him, more schooled, for the Gold Medal. You have to factor in the difference: the rounds are few compared to the Pros...like we have seen in history of Pro competition, not everyone can last the distance.

Just for your information, my family came here just before WWII. My grandfather fled Italy because of Mussolini, and my other side of the family came here (roughly) around the same time from Germany. Everyone needs to calm down, there are good points and bad about both America and Britain. True some Americans are arrogant but so are some British, I don't see why people are even talking about this on a boxing forum.
