Juan Manuel Marquez's last fight, though it was a KO win, did not showcased anything new in his arsenal. He fought slow and was even hurt by Jaca.
JMM is getting old and needs to make a statement fast for him to get a crack at the bigtime once again (we all know, including xcaret and ferocity what it is).
A fight and a possible win over the sport's recognized hardest puncher, Edwin Valero, would prove to be a big stepping stone in his dying career.
What do you think?
He didnt get up cause he doesnt have any heart, just like the rest of them, they keep piling up, what a shame to be from that country, no heart for their country :nonono:
it was a wise career move, Jaca probably got more money under the table from DLH than his actual $50k purse for letting gayboy win.
wow, only a fukn pinoy nuthugger thinks Marquez got hurt in the Jaca fight, in what fucking round did he get hurt? I missed it, i hope your not talking about the second round cause he clearly got off balance, but then again you all cant see right.
Jaca let you boy JMM win, Jimrex could have gotten up if he wanted to from that gayboy slap by JMM, it was a wise career move by Jaca, i heard Jimrex is on DLH undercard.
God Almighty!
I'm not basing it on that fight at all. I clearly based what I said on their last performances. Based on that, Marquez is the more attractive option and there is much more intrigue there than to fight Barrera. You think Barrera stands a better chance trading with Pacquiao?
I for one would rather see Marquez in there with Pac. However, its a business and they will milk it for what its worth. I would also love to see Marquez and Barrera get it on. I think Marquez wins. Valero would get worked by any of the elite 130lbers. He had difficulties with Mosquera and was knocked down.
Anyone knocking Pacquiao out at this stage of the game would surprise me. I think you have to outbox him and Marquez has the talent to do that. I like the way he fought against Jaca, but I would not advise the same strategy, at least not for as long as he did it against Pacquiao. Marquez woul dhave to pick his spots, as Morales could have done. Morales didn't go in there with the mentality to box. Marquez may have fought Jaca to turn attention to himself and make Pacquiao believe that it would be the more attractive fight between them, especially with Pacquiao and all the hype surrounding him now. Pacquiao will believe he could knock out anyone. Then of course, Marquez could switch up on him.
to tell you the truth, i think marquez is a great fighter, i think he's better than MAB or EM...he can win against PAC any given day...PAC has improved a lot but he still leaves himself open from counter punches...during the PAC-EM III, they had 2 exchanges and morales is the one landing the bigger blows...
its a pity that JMM's career was mismanaged...

Off topic - hey man, you've got some nice articles in your blog... keep up the good work bro...
i just find it unfortunate for pac to be involved in a legal tussle... a fight with JMM would be exciting no doubt... but given the history of GBP and Top Rank it will be a pretty long shot as of the moment....
God Almighty!

do u think marquez can KO pacman or can get a UD? wut is marquez chances percentage wise?
On the contrary.
Look at the last performances of both and you tell me what's going to draw the most.
Barrera - pulled a bait and switch with Juarez and ran to a decision. He was also severely beaten by Pacquiao before. No issue there.
Marquez - looked excellent trading and stopping Jaca. Drew with Pacquiao and outboxed him for ten rounds. Major issue in need of resolution for both men.
You think Pacquiao wants to chase after Barrera all night or trade shots with Marquez?
There's no way Barrera is going to stand with Pacquiao after last time, and there's no way that Marquez would NOT stand and trade shots with Pacquiao more than he did last time.
you are basing you assesment of pac vs jmm on the first fight
jmm from 2004 is detiriorating pac is improving. if jmm wants to tarde shots with pac he will lose.
juarez is a lazy puncher if you compare him to pac. barera cannot do that to pac. he will get caught.
Too many "warm up" fights for this guy. He should have asked for this long time ago. Or at least one of the bigger names, instead of just calling on one guy when he knows the guy is "fully booked" lol.
Valero is only a puncher until he knocks out "somebody."
It would be explosive with Pacquiao while it lasts, that's for sure.
And I think Marquez did show something new: he stood and traded shots and was aggressive throughout. Typically, Marquez would have had an easy time boxing Jaca, but he wanted to be more aggressive.
With De La Hoya saying that he thinks Marquez is the best at 130, is that a sign that he's giving up on the race for Pacquiao, or daring Pacquiao to come aboard and take Marquez on?
i dont think dela hoya would say that marquez is the best at 130. barera is at 130. i dont think dlh would diss barera like that.
Marquez is probably going to get Barrera in March. I don't see the Pacquiao lawsuit ending any time soon. I see no reason for Marquez to move to 130 to fight Valero. He makes 126 easy. Scott Harrison is always an option too.
I dread a JMM - Barrera in March coz it'll expose MAB so soon. Let Pac feast on him first

I sure didnt see him get hurt,i seen him get hit off balance, there was no signs he was hurt, and he fights very well for his age
