I know alot of people will say He has NO chin.. he has stamina issues.. he wont go to the Body.. he has no heart.. and so Forth.. But all these Points can be counter argued quite affectively.. he has never been counted out.. He has learned to pace himself .. He DOESN'T need to go the body.. And the guy always gets up.. Other people including me have said his Issues are mental... Lack of confidence sort of thing..
BUT last night I think I might have finaly figured it out.. He is not mean.. Most Boxers when the get tagged get angry.. Wlad seems to almost get his feelings hurt.. and has a look on his face like "why did you do that?":puppy_dog ... Last night Brock was doing better than perhaps he should have been.. UNTIL it finally seem to DAWN on Wlad.. This is Boxing match.. a FIGHT.. and then HE got mean.. and the fight was over.. Is it perhaps possible that is just TOO nice to be a BOXER...
I am curious to what People would think of this ..

That definetly one the thing that seperated him and Lewis. Lennox threw that uppercut with bad intentions.
That's for sure, he nearly decapitated Wlad's older brother with it.

true but wlad has a great left hook which lewis didnt. so,,,offensively its a wash in my opinion

Of his 47 wins, he has 43 KOs. That to me says he's got the killer instinct in him to be a great boxer.
He seriously needs to add the UPPERCUT to his arsenal

Well said!I especially agree on Wlad's mental aspect.Which I actually think is the same case with Roy Jones to a certain degree.Although his reflexes and such have obviously declined. But anyways,Wlad showed a lot of improvement saturday. With the help of Steward maybe he's finally reaching his full potential.
That is one thing I just never understood. Golota at one point was my favorite boxer. But it would mind boggle me why Golota never ever used an uppercut in his arsenal. Now that Klitschko has taken the number one spot on my favorite boxer list, I am still confused as to why Wlad never utilize's an uppercut. Vitali also mever used an uppercut up until he fought Danny Williams. In that fight he caught Williams with an uppercut right before he finished him off.
Wlad's chin isn't that bad. He tool like 2 or 3 of Brewster's hardest hooks and I don't remember seeing his knees buckle, his legs were just gone and he was exhausted and he couldn't get away. If he had known how to tie up in that fight he may well have gotten through that round. He also took some hard hooks in the Peter fight, one in the last round right before he wobbled Peter. One thing that bothered me in this fight though was that Brock kept ducking in and rushing Wlad and Wlad never threw an uppercut.

Wlad learned to control his emotions in the ring. If he let his killer instinct take over......well just see the Brewtser fight.
I wish he would let it go more too but a disciplined Wlad is tough to beat.
I still don't think that chin is tested. Sam Peter knocked Wlad down from what I remember like 3 times. Byrd, and Brock got nowhere near that chin so I won't say his chin is better yet.
As someones sigs says.
"A real champ is a man that stands up when he cant"
Wlad is that man. So who cares if he drops? He went down 3 times against Peter and still won by a DECISION not a KO, he went down 3 times and won on points...
Now how many people can actually take Wlads power for 12rds?
I seriously think that a lot of posters here do not know the diff between heart and stamina.
Audley Harrison is an example of someone without heart. He simply won't throw punches and will spend the entire fight in survival mode if he's threatened.
Imagine him getting tagged by Sanders or Brewster? Forget it.

How in the hell can people claim Wlad has no heart?
That's retarded. He's been down on the canvas from huge punches several times in his career....multiple times in fights. He's never been counted out or knocked out cold.
I don't see how people confuse heart and stamina. Just because he's too big to throw successive punches every round without gassing....doesn't mean he doesn't have heart.
Because that's how he lost to Brewster and Puritty anyways. People see him stumbling from exhaustion and think he has no heart.

The first two knockdowns that Wlad suffered from Peter were a result of rabbit punches. The final knockdown was a punch to the face and Wlad took it somewhat OK.
What should that tell you about how Wlad dominated Peter. If a boxer gets KD three times and still wins by unanimous decision, that should indicate how one boxer is head and shoulders above the other in the skill department.

I have stated the same thing a few occasions on here. Wlad seems like a good natured individual that does not get angry. I agree with you about when a boxer gets hit they should get mad, but it is not in his nature.
His brother Vitali on the other hand has a real mean and nasty streak in him. Total opposite from Wlad. When an opponent hit Vitali he would get pissed off.
To me, Wlad is back. During the ref giving intsructions yesterday, Wlad's eyes reminded me of Vitali's, cold confidence and nothing else. What killed me, is that Wlad knocked Brock out when he DECIDED to knock him out.
He is just a late starter. Watch Calvin Brock fight, he wasn't doing too well early on, but then he just got into his game, landed jab after jab, and dominated from there on. Any big fights, he has been starting late, might just be nerves, he too stiff early on.
i think his demeanor his fine
if you watch the fight wladamir basically shoves brock off of him and pushes him hard in the chest everytime the ref breaks the fighters
it just seems that wladamir has the fight in his head before it starts as far as how he thinks it should go..... and i think he is a very harsh critic of himself so his expressions in these cases are nothing more than disappointment at not quite being able to meet a level of perfection he expects from himself.... i hardly think his "feelings are hurt" from getting hit
