you guys need to stop talking shit about Mayweathers performance. He dominated and shut out the welterweight champion of the world, thats the bottom line regardless of everything else. Saying he should have stopped him is stupid cause he just fought like he usually fights, thats his style.

True Floyd could have made it more exciting but he hurt his right hand. He hurts it in the fight before this one too, and why fuck up your hand more when your schooling the other guy.

The fact of the matter is this : The whole debate about Floyd's performance against Baldomir breaks down into the diehards, and the casual fans. Casual fight fans will say Floyd's performance was boring, he didn't do enough, it wasn't exciting, etc.... Diehards will look at Floyd's performance as a masterpiece, a true picasso' in the ring, Mayweather was painting a masterpiece with his fists, it was, put simply, a clinic. Could it have been more exciting? Of course it could have, nearly half the percentage of fights I've seen could have been more exciting. But to me, that's not the point. I wanted to see Floyd fight inside more. Its amazing to watch his defense.

i just dont understand when people complain about the floyd vs baldo fight for not being entertaining. floyd was simply putting on a clinic and not risking anything he didnt have to.

Oscar also has the ability to knock Floyd out, which makes it interesting...lets not forget that Oscar has a great jab when he uses it, and it might cause some serious problems for Floyd. I would also like to know, if Oscar isn't the best guy for Floyd to fight, who is? that is 154 and under? and if you pick that person, could he beat Oscar?

He wouldn't be able to make Oscar look stupid, I doubt it. I still think he boxers better than DLH and I don't think Oscar is gonna outsmart Floyd. Oscar is faster, smarter, and just better than Baldomir. Definently wouldn't be the same fight as Baldomir but I see a decision for Floyd.

To see Mayweather/DeLaHoya, based on Mayweather's last performance against the ponderous, powerless Baldomir. Mayweather is Baldomir's size, only with skills. I can picture Mayweather dancing all around the ring on his tiptoes for 12 rounds..... It will be a good fight! mayweather won't be able to dance around oscar the way he did with baldo. Oscar would force floyd to trade punches with him.

Mayweather is not Baldomir's size and Mayweather completely dominated a guy that beat up Judah and Gatti. You can suck his balls all day.

I agree Floyd could have taken a little more chances to make it more entertaining, but he still boxed beautifully. He wouldnt be able to do that against Oscar, who although past his prime still has much more hand speed than Baldomir.

De La Hoya's got some handspeed though.

I would pay to see based only on Oscars decision to make it his last fight.
