Lol.. This kind of thread again? I've seen like 7 of these.
Tito is just a hard hitter. Fight him with bare knuckles.I bet he will win by KO in 1 mili second.
I think we can all agree on one thing, his entire career is a scam.
All his accomplishments are bogus.
He doesn't deserve to be up there with the Benitez, Gomez, and Cotto.
Cotto?!:ugh:
I never believed any of this garbage because 1) it just seems totally ridiculous that the way you wrap your hands could give you a significant power advantage, 2) Bernard Hopkins brought this to the forefront when he asked the ref to check Trinidad's gloves before the fight, and after admitted that he did it just to mess with his head.
its called cinderblock handwrapping and yea its a cheat and yea trinidad do it..you wrap your hands regularly dip it in ice water put more rolls and guaze on it dip it some more put more rolls and guaze in it..it makes your punches harder..if you notice in the hopkins fight where trinidad was exposed for the illegal hand wrappings..he hit hopkins flush serveral times and it didnt phase hopkins..on the other hand he knocked william joppy all over the ring with the cinderblock handwrap method..and william joppy has a awesome chin
Hopkins didnt stand in front of Tito he went side to side.
He rarely exchanged with him. Hopkins just fought smartly while Tito was trying to KO him and ended up himself KOed.
Tito power comes from some factors:
1. He is a lefty with great left hook power.
2. He was a bit big for his some of his class
3. They way he excute his punchs is appear to as if he is spriting ( it a disadvantge because it shows that he is ready to punch his fav. punch the left hook.)
I guess so is Tommy Hearns, who wasn't a KO artist in the pros. Maybe when you have 8 ounce gloves and no head gear the punches hurt more, I dunno maybe it's just me.
Dog, if you think wrapping your hands with anything that is legal helps, you're crazy. The motions and mechanics of Tito and his speed and combination punching make him a great puncher.
Thank You!

Good point but I don't think Hearns wore head gear as an amatuer.
Yeah.
When he was an amateur, he had zero punch.
All his KOs when he became a pro were a result of a handwrap method his old man used to wrap his hands.
His whole career is a big scam, imo.

Jack is actually coming to visit, you're invited also.
Say it to his face.. if you can see him, it gets dark early here.
JUST! kidding. That's enough of the racism for me.
I need to stop this, I'm not even racist.
I would stomp Jacks skinny ass for not being his own person and subjecting me to what Eubank eats posts.
I only like the white and black pair of Jordans.
So does Jack, but he scribbles out the white with black marker.
Jack likes nothing White or Yank, since he is a delusional wanna be Brit.
Nah, it wasn't, with his doo-rag and cap you can tell he actually owns a pair.
I've just ordered a pair of white on white air force ones myself.
I own a pair of white on white ones myself. I want a pair a white and silver jordans but I am broke.
Was that a racist remark against black people? o.O
I wasn't being racist I have a pair of Air Force one myself and they were the first shoe I thought of. It did sound racist though, actually very much so now that I look at it. Shanus I hope you have noticed I was talking about the most racist poster on here in Jack. It doesn't justify my statement though.
None of the boxing experts ever bring this up when they talk about Tito, so I doubt it is true. Hopkins was just playing mind games with Tito, who was two weight classes above his natural weight anyway. And another thing, how many times has Hopkins been knocked down in his career? It cant be more than once.
Twice against Segundo Mercado, good fight btw
Jack I have seen your pic and you ain't never laced shit in your life except your Airforc Ones. I was an amatuer and would eat a pussy like you for breakfast.

If you laced 'em, you'd know what I'm talking about.
You obviously never laced 'em so don't come in this thread acting like a know it all.
Thanks.

In my opinion, Cotto already surpassed him. Tito's career was built on cheating through illegal handwraps.
The experts agree that handwrapping cannot contribute to punching power. Handwraps are for the fighter's protection, not to add power.
"This is why we need a National Commission because there is no rhyme or reason in regards to some of the rules. Every state allows you to wrap the fighters hands differently. I personally usually use gauze, then 1 roll on tape on each hand for my fighters. More tape doesn't add punching power it's more to protect the fighters hands."-- Teddy Atlas
"The most important thing to do when wrapping your fighters hand is to protect them, not for added punching power. How you do this is by establishing a good base. Start with gauze or pre-wrap, then make sure you wrap the wrist first and very tight. I know every state allows different rules when it comes to wrapping but usually you can get away with one and a half rolls per hand but with the big guys you definitely need two rolls for each hand. It also helps if you have a general idea where the breaks occur, like the knuckles, so you can put extra foam or padding for the fighters."- Tommy Brooks
"Felix Tito Trinidad has fought here several times against some of the biggest fighters in the world: Oscar de la Hoya, David Reid, Fernando Vargas. He's always had opponent's corner people watching him wrap, as well as my inspectors. We have never detected anything illegal." - Marc Ratner
Hopkins actually stated that this was all a tactic to distract the Trinidads, and it seemed to work.
Wow do you actually believe your own illusion....
How do you compare what Tito did to what cotto is predicted to do?
Doesnt sound too bright for a person to compare what someone has accomplish- which are now facts to what they deem another boxer will accomplish. Topping it off your agruements have no facts or any surrounding points to back up your lame claims. I have one question do you still watch cartoons?
