Some people just don't have the same attraction to "black" people than "white". For example, my girlfriend said that Mayweather was a nice looking man but she doesn't really think he is hot like she would for a "white" male. I was there in Dallas at a tournament (as a coach) when Lamon was an amateur back in 1995 and she was there every day watching the fights with the guy that played Tommy on the show.
