If you disagree that Mayweather Jr is not in the class of Sugar Ray Leonard, a young Michael Nunn, Sweet Pea and the James Toney that fought Barkley then please, go fuck yourself.
If Mayweather Jr beats De La Hoya, it's IBHOF for the man and all-time great status, IMO. If he beats De La Hoya AND Hatton (after the Hitman gets rid of Castillo impressively in the summer), you could argue he's the best ever on skill as well as everything else.
.. Agreed?

"a top three p4per from '88 to '91"? do you have any idea how stupid that sounds? hes a top ranker for three years and all of a sudden he deserves honorable mention to real all time greats?
your in no position to say whos delusional.
Do you even know if Michael Nunn is black or white?
I'm talking about the class of physical ability here, not the class of 'all time great'.
Nunn was considered 'the man' in the middleweight division when it was the best it has ever been in history by miles in terms of sheer depth (Kalambay, McCallum, Graham, Duran, Barkley, Benn, Watson, Olajide, Eubank, Julian Jackson, Milton, Toney, Reggie Johnson, Steve Collins, Parks, McClellan, Hopkins, Jones, DeWitt, Sims).
Dude, your delusional. You probably didn't even know what boxing was until last year.
Nunn was a top three lb4lber from '88 to '91, and SCHOOLED Toney for nine rounds.

PBF is in a class of his own. Whitaker, Ali, SRR, Toney, SRL all have multiple losts. PBF has no losts and rarely gets hit. His competition has been pretty tough. He has beaten 4 future hall of famers.
this is hilarious!!! ali and leonard fought other all time greats, pbf has NOT... PBF has yet to be in a superfight... his fight with chico was on HBO and even his rematch with castillo wasnt a main event, it played 2nd to wlad/mccline... if and when he fights oscar, it will be his first SUPERFIGHT compared to the MANY that leonard and ali had....
It really gets me pissed thinking back a few years, even a year ago, when 140 was the best division in boxing by far and looking forward to Tszyu, Mayweather, Harris, Mitchell, Gatti, Hatton, Cotto et al clashing and bashing.
I wish Mayweather stayed at 140 and hunted Hatton and Cotto, then he'd of really proved himself.
You also had Junior Witter dominating Europe, Paul Spadafora coming up, Mickey Ward, everybody.

Only Hernandez is probably a future Hall of Famer. Everyone else isnt even close. Gatti maybe but not based on accomplishments.
Mayweather has won five world titles at four different weights - that speaks for itself.
He also dealt with Zab Judah, who on his day is the best in boxing outside of textbook skills (and was once considered a better prospect than Mayweather), and ended up beating him down.
He beat the best at Jr. Lightweight, Lightweight, and Welterweight. Judah and Gatti's straps were worthless and don't count as "World Titles".
