I was being fecescious. Toney would have a very good chance of beating Briggs; but I do think Shannon probably hits harder than Peter, though it's hard to say for sure. He just seems to have more snap on his punches...when he threw them, that is. LoL!! Greatest spelling of that word ever.

after what toney did to peter i can never doubt him again.. briggs has no defense he'll be beat to the punch, still try to punch ,and toney will make him miss and counter all night long..toney is working with a fitness guru along the same lines as mackie shilstone right now..

i pick toney, it's kind of wierd to say it but he has better conditioning, ha that's a fucking laugh and a half right there. but he also is slick and briggs the muscle bound freak wouldn't be able to get any clean shots off on toney. plus toney works more than briggs toney would out point him, maybe even ko briggs the way briggs gases out. but as always briggs does have a punchers chance, but if peter couldn't ko toney and couldn't get a clean shot off on him, i seriously doubt that briggs could do anything either. i was seriously not impressed with briggs at all in his last fight, he got a gift from an momentary unfocused russian.

who would you pick? what would james toney do to shannon briggs if they fought? i think it would be toney/peter but with less punches being thrown from briggs and toney winning convincingly. briggs defense was horrible and his hands were so low , toney would punish him with right hand/left hook combinations. is there any chance that fight could be made after the rematch with peter? Toney all the way...Toney would make him throw punch..He didnt thrown anything against the wolf because he was afraid of gasing out..Toney would get inside and make him do something..I can see Briggs just taking a knee because he is so winded..

Toney will go on the offensive if he has to, fight him on the inside and hurt him with bodypunches. Briggs will be getting tagged with counter straight rights all night with the way he telegraphs his punches. I don't think Briggs poses a threat to Toney with his power, who took punches from Peter who, and I'd stick all the money in my wallet on this, hits harder than Briggs. Please make this fight happen, because I'd love to actually cheer Toney on for once as he kicks someone's ass.

Here's one fight where I'd actually root for Toney, who would be the clear favorite. I think Briggs is a pretty funny guy and a good sport but he's too hyped up.

The last three heavyweight fights that I have looked forward to watching have all turned out shitty. Briggs vs Lyakhovich was horrible until the 12th. Toney vs Peter boring as shit. Maskaev vs Rahman a yawnfest until the 12th. This weeks Wlad vs Brock will also turn out to be shit. Probably boring the hell out of me again. Compared to the heavyweight fights the last 4 years this one was a good fight.

Toney would embarrass him. Peter threw a lot more punhces than Briggs did, and I still think Toney beat him.

Briggs throws 6 punches per round and Toney throws 12. Toney is hard to hit, Briggs is easy. The outcome should be obvious to anybody.

I wouldnt be shocked if he stopped briggs later in the fight due to briggs fatigue and toneys accurate punches. dont need power when guys get as exhausted as briggs gets
