I remebered in one of the fights where Larry Merchant becomes crazy and says he gotta hit and its a boxing match. I think it was one of mayweather's fight i am not sure.

lol - i'm with ya on that! i remember that line. that comment was spot on. i always enjoy hearing the "flailing like a drunken sailor" line from the v klitschko/sanders fight. however, i don't think it's an underrated comment. i can't f'ing believe i read some kellerman quotes. max has his head up his ass. i do not know one single person who thinks he's a good commentator or even just a likable tv personality. I LOVE max kellerman. He knows an amazing amount about the sport and he gets it out there so well. Jim Lampley knows way more about boxing, but when his transitions are kinda bad. While max does it without a hiccup. There is nobody that id rather have taking over the spot of larry merchant when merchant retires. However, that black guy? is TERRIBLE!!!! how he got that job i will never know. id much rather have joe tessitore or something. that guy is garbage. He hardly talks, and when he does its to point out something that is blatantly obvious

Without a DOUBT Larry Merchant is the funniest commentator of all time. The guy is as sharp as a knife when it comes to wisecracks. In fact, I will refer to him as Larry "The Blade" Merchant from here on.
