Seriously, you have Mayweather and Baldomir on PAY PER VIEW (no fucking way should this fight cost me money to watch) vs. two heavyweights that legitimately seem to hate each other and are both looking for a knockout on regular Showtime. Yet I'm looking at ESPN.com's boxing page and damned if 90% aren't tuning in for the sparring session on HBO instead of the all out war that can be expected on Showtime.
I know Mayweather is the greatest fighter in the world and there's nobody even close to him...all the more reason to watch a competitive slugfest. You can't tell me anybody out there when given a choice would choose to watch a sparring session over a knockdown dragout. I'm a bigger fan of Mayweather than Briggs, Liakhovich and every other Don King fighter on that card combined, but it comes down to what is entertaining and what is free (if you subscribe to Showtime of course). I'm simply baffled by this nonsense, but to each his own.

the small prospect of boxings greatest fighter being upset is to much for me pass up.
i would love to watch the heavyweight fight, but watching one of the greatest fighters of all time is more meaningful and pleasant to me.
As much as i hate the guy, u gotta have love for his pure talent and respect for the sport.
and i like guerro and i love williams, so i wanna watch those babies as well. thats a nice little touch :D
your absolutely right. most people want to see the prick lose. the only ones who dont are his jock strap swinging fans who wouldnt know class if they were in one.
man, did it ever occur to you that some ppl might like his skills and consequential performances in the ring enough to hope mayw. wins, regardless of what they think of him as a man?

A hater in its purest form...
The whole showtime card is actually pretty decent.
Juan Diaz, Collazo , Spinks all fighting.
I think I'll watch the Mayweather/Baldomir fight though. I want to see Floyd lose.
I guess you'll be disappointed when Floyd wins.
I don't buy any PPV's so I won't be watching either.
what drama are you guys continuously referring to? sparring sessions are not dramatic by any means unless you're talking about the one Tyson got floored in by Greg Page. there is no drama in Mayweather-Baldomir. you guys are acting like Mayweather already broke both his hands and is fighting with a concussion. only then could I see the fight getting dramatic.
I am going to watch the ppv.
why? what do you mean why?
hmmm I dont know...
it probably has something to do with the fact that i like boxing (not big people throwing haymakers for 1 minute and gasping for air for 2 minutes), that baldomir is the man at 147 and mayweather is the man p4p.
everyone is trying to see when Mayweather is going to lose
people are despret for Mayweather to get an L in his record.
and that is more exciting because if Mayweather lossess he lossess his p4p statues to Manny or Winky

well, I didn't see Roy get KO'ed by Tarver live, but I watched it a week later and laughed my fuckin head off just the same as I would have if I had seen it live. it was still shocking and still the 2nd greatest moment in my entire life as it relates to boxing
I'm watching the Maywweather fight. If he win's then I get to collect some money. If he loses then I witnessed history like when I watched Tyson lose.
yeah you gotta collect those $5 you'll get from betting $5,000 right
The showtime card that everyone will see on tv (unless there live) is only the Diaz fight then Lyakhovich-Briggs... would be awesome to go live though
Really. If thats the case then it would suck for me. I wont be there live. I really wanted to see Collazo fight agian even if it is against some can.
I'm going to be out of town in NJ, fukken hate that place, sorry asian; for a surprise party ... I'll make sure that we're ALL watching the better fight that night, the Mayweather fight.
Scap, :gay: that you were willing to NOT see the Mayweather fight. Good thing some of your friends are packing sack's and not slit's.
My wife is a dummy, she is wantin this fight as do all of my friends, then of course we are gonna get Pac/Morales....so at the end of the month when the cable bill is high the dumb bitch (thats her name Im not being mean) is gonna wonder why the cable bill is so high.

I am going to try and watch both............I am sure they will have it set-up so it is nearly impossible but I am going to try.I am sure Showtime will replay their fights Sun morning as usual or they will land on-Demand before next weekend which will probably be the soonest HBO will replay their broadcast so I am watching Floyd hopefully get upset if I can't watch both.
One is for a real World Championship; and the other is the #2 Heavyweight in the world defending his "belt" against a tomato-can smasher.
However, I will be taping the smashing of the tomato can smasher while I enjoy high drama at 147.
