because the fighter called out one of the best boxers around to face him, and fucked him and shittalked him and humiliate him, and was beaten and was brutalized and was utterly humiliated, and he apologized. :D

Personally, I see life as a tough fight in which you will find difficulties and some rounds will be very tough. Boxing equals life, to me, and that gives the sport a different meaning. It stops being just a sport and becomes something more important once you make the association. I may be the only one with this approach, but then again I don't care.
Nope. I've thought of that before too.

Um, what's with these posts about boxing is dying or why we enjoy boxing as if that's a hard question or something. Lately a lot of the posts have gotten just plain stupid. Let's TALK BOXING!
of course were talking boxing.
where's your mind up to by the way?
I'd like this question to see how fans love boxing.
It's just like the question on NBA, "reasons why you love NBA?"

I love the unpredictible pace that boxing has. Not only can fights change in the blink of an eye, but the entire boxing atmosphere can change with that punch as well. Boxing is always entertaining, be it a balls out, give it all you got slugfest, or a technical, quick paced, chess game.
Boxing never lets me down, and that's the reason it will always be my favorite sport.
well, since you asked:
i enjoy practicing fighting arts as well as watching them in a competitive format. it's always fun to see what somebody else is working on.
plus, i'm a bit sadomasochistic, so watching 2 people beat the hell out of each other entertains me. the fact that it's an established art form just furthers my enjoyment.
