:mad:There are way to many titles, there are like 6 or 7 titles. It was set up nicely in the 70's. There were 3 titles the WBA, the WBC, and the WBO. It was a simple fight routine for the champions. 2 champions fight to unify there belts. The winner would fight the other champion for the unification of all the belts, thats not complicated at all! Now if your champion don't be overly prowd of yourself, its not saying much. Your one of 6 or 7 people to be heavyweight champion, big whup. They should get rid of 3 or 4 different titles. If your ranked number 10 of the world your not really in 10th there are 16 people ahead of you really you are 16th of the world when your in first you are in 7th and so on. Thats my point on why there are to many titles.
Also from what I understand the WBO title was really a European Title until Chris Byrd won it... and then Only after it was Americanised was it even accepted.. It still isn't really.. accept some Decent names now Hold the title in several divisons.. I see the WBO as a stepping stone Title still and Not as shite as say the IBO but still Not on par with the WBC WBA or IBF.. Although the WBC has been making a case of late for joining the the SHIT pool.. Not because of the fighter who hold titles but just some of the strange ideas coming out of there of late.. examples V Klitschko being name dchamp for life.. and getting Number1 ranking should he come out of retirement.. same to B-Hop... Punishing Castillo.. but NOT Coralles.. ordering a rematch with Peter and Toney when no wrong doing or conspiracy has been proven or no ivestigation made Public.. except for Toneys whining.. Go figure
Basicly they are all corrupt money grabbers!
In the 70's there was only the WBA and WBC. In the early 80's the IBF came, in the late 80's came the WBO and in the 90's came lots of other shitty titles.
I wish there was only one world champ per division. It's seem sill to think that we can have 4 guys who all claim to be the world champ at the same time in only one division!

i just wish there were 3 titles that way they would maintain more value as the richest prize in sports.
