which of these boxers was the most intimidating during their prime sonny liston, george foreman, or mike tyson ? all three could beat a guy before even setting foot in the ring and during their respective primes all three looked mean as hell so who do you guys think was the most intimidating of the 3 in their prime ?
I am still deciding between Foreman and Tyson, but here is some help
I am going to have to find another highlight because the song isn't intimidating (LOL)
The thing was, if you fucked with Sonny Liston, he would actully have killed you.
And not just shot you or anything, beaten you to death with a baseball bat in front of your family and then he would rape your wife.
So yea, Sonny Liston.
First, I am not scared of death, so if he kills me, I at least get to sleep and not have to go to work anymore, so what is your point?
Second, we are talking about choosing between Tyson, Foreman, and Liston...for me, Liston just doesn't scare me if I am looking at his ring performance and what he says in interviews...yes, I guess if you include the outside stories, than that increases the "Fear" factor
You are a badass if Liston doesn't seem intimidating to you. He had those expressionless eyes and gorilla sized hands and was a big guy for his time. I would be scared.
he just doesn't scare me...maybe it was the "Times" that he was just different/that is what was supposedly "scary"... kind of like those Wolf movies that scared people shitless...I watch them and I laugh.
I hear how he was intimidating just looking at him jump rope, but Tyson was much better.
Maybe it is the toughness of the fighter, but you also have to look at the other angle, why would someone be scared?
Answer: the skill of the opponent they are going up against, the unbeatable...even Gatti looked scared shitless againt Mayweather, and Floyd doesn't look all that tough, but Gatti knew, this guy can fight, he has never lost, I have, and I am going to get my ass kicked
Same thing with Roy Jones.
Fighters knew they had no chance, and just let him do his thing.
Ali was the greatest at psyching people out and intimidating them, he beat both Liston and Foreman before they even stepped in the ring with him. Ali could break down any opponents confindence, i mean look at what happened to Foreman, ali crushed his ego and made him fuckin retire after that fight.
maybe because I never saw either in person, but Sonny Liston doesn't seem all that intimidating based on looks.

He was but guys like Machen, Leotis Martin, Cleveland Williams, Wepner and Ali were not scared to trade with him. Tyson fought more pushovers so they could be intimidated. Spinks was scared to death.

Lol at the poll, everyone said Tyson. Tyson isn't even number two. Liston is by far the most intimidating. He had the stare, the voice, the power, and the skills. An dhe was cleaning out the division like no other fighter did in history.

I would fear Tyson more because he was more unpredictable, but wouldn't want to face either of them.Liston was a genuine gansta and had scarier backup though.I think Tyson would be scared and lose though. Liston was a bear and his rep as being a gansta inmate would scare Mike. But Liston was scared of Ali because he thought he was crazy and Mike has that angle down pat. So who knows?

I think the question is, who would you be more scared of, Liston or Tyson.
liston was a hundred times more intimidating than tyson
