Manfredo I have to say was very impressive last night, his performance shows he's the real contender, and not that bitch Mora, who he clearly beat in the second fight. Anyway, now that Manfredo shut the big mouth of Spina, who's next for Manfredo? There's a rumor that he's fighting Roy Jones jr. in early 2007 on ESPN Pay-Per-View, but nothing offical. If this was to happen who do you would win? Since, Manfredo has training with Freddy Roach, he has a good chance, but it's highly unlikely that he could beat Jones. Him fighting Jones is kinda jumping the gun a bit, don't get me wrong, he's a good fighter and all, but I just don't think he's ready for a fighter like Jones. but, if that fight didn't happen, do you think he win the Super Middleweight title? He has a good, but once again, I'm not too sure, if he's a ready for that either. What do you think?
jones isnt the fighter he use to be but he would still run over manfredo..this is the same guy who struggled with ALFONSO GOMEZ and feather fisted SERIGO MORA..lets come back to earth
Do you not understand what a good trainer can do for a fighter?
He had Roach when he faced Sergio the 2nd time around, even tho he should have won,he didnt look amazing
Beating a 39 year old Pemberton and Joe Spina doesnt mean u can beat Roy Jones,Roy Jones UD
That was his first fight with Roach.
You can see the improvements he is making, it doesnt all happend at once, its a gradual process.
Brewer never fought at welter until the contender. The majority of his fights were at 154, and 160.
When he fought Jermain Taylor and Manfredo he was at 160.
Yes, but because he had no sucess and has little power and a poor chin, he moved down.
Bravo dropped him, he would get ruined by any actual contender at welter, light middle and middle.
Um no.
Jones could very well be his next opponent and Jones is not the fighter he used to be. Manfredo by UD.
I disagree. As done as Jones is I still think he can pull of the boring hit and run UD.
LOL at these responses, an old washed up RJJ can still beat Manfredo. Give me a reason to believe Manfredo can beat him. Manfredo has a VERY deliberate right hand. He shoots it from the ear and his left hook is nonexsistent. His jab is not impressing me as well. He doesn't have the size to bully RJJ like Glen Johnson or the counterpunching southpaw style to create problems like Tarver.
RJJ would coast to a UD and if he decides to sit down on his punches TKO
i would like to see manfredo vs lacy. its a good fight for both of them and for the fans. if he fights jones it will be another turd of a fight with the jones sacriders being crushed when their boy gets knocked out again.
For the first time since I've posted on these forums, I agree with Dino. I don't care how good Manfredo looked (and he did) against Spina, because Roy Jones would walk through Manfredo. Reason is this - Manfredo is good against slower boxers. Even at his age, Roy Jones outclasses Manfredo hugely with speed. Peter struggled against Mora both times because Mora was faster, RJ by TKO in less than 7.
Peter did not struggle against mora in the rematch. A guy with a brains knows manfredo got screwed in the rematch. Peter made mora look like a fool in the rematch.

Manfredo is quickly gaining Margarito post buzz. All of a sudden he's a world beater.
I like him, but I don't think that he is at the top of the division, but in maybe 2 or 3 years he could be.
Calzaghe is getting old and will probobly move up in weight soon. I think that Lacey is on his way up to Light Heavy soon as well.
I think he's fighting RJJ next...and I think he can beat RJJ at this point in his career...
Who would of thought this day would come? RJJ should retire, before it's too late...
Mora is a middleweight and Brewer is a welterweight.
Mora beats him.

He put on 2 great preformances and is being trained by Freddy Roach.

Brewer has been in with some tough comp. I would like to see how Sergio does against Brewer, I have a feeling that Brewer could win that.
Neither man has much power and Brewers level of opposition is much better than Sergio.
Mora is a middleweight and Brewer is a welterweight.
Mora beats him.
Big fan off Manfredo but i can't see him challenging the two big boys in the division in Calzaghe and Kessler they are on a different level than all thos guys in the supermiddleweight div i do believe tho he has a chance to be a world champion in the supermiddle weight divison maybe when he likes a calzaghe moves up in weight or retires and kessler moves up to light heavy only chance i see off him winning titles in tht divison
Um no.

Green would knock Manfredo out before the 6th round, it would look like Greens fight last night but on fast foward.
Green was exposed a bit by McCrarry and might need that chin checked.
Manfredo can take a shot and is much better than people were expecting, coming out of the contender.
I don't see this fight happening anytime soon though, it would be to much risk for little reward for both fighters, they could make more money fighting other people at SM.
