First off, The CONTENDER SUCKS...I couldn't even finish the first episode...I really tried to watch it a few times, but it bored me, the fighters were not interesting and most of all, they weren't nearly as skilled as the fighters I like to watch...I mean, why would I watch a drunk singing on the street (unless for amusement), when I can get tickets to see Andrea Bocelli. Anyway, like I said many times, if fighters want to make it big in the eyes of the Public, fight on regular Television like they did in the past...yo don't have to fight every fight like this, but give the fans a bone once in a while. More people know Paris Hilton than Floyd Mayweather Jr., that is sad.

This is true.........I have a buddy who is not really into Boxing but watches the big fights and the Contender and he thinks Manfredo and Mora are great fighters.......:ugh: He also calls Floyd..... Merriweather because he barely knows who he is and has just heard of him a few times on ESPN. I bet your buddy don't have hbo that's why he barely heard of mayweather. The contedner gives this fight fan hope that one day boxing will be back in the mainstream...the contender really took hold and they did it with fighters who are not considered elite, hell in most cases the fighters onthe contenders were not even B level fighters. When you tell a contender fan that Sergio Mora or Manfredo is not even in the top ten in the world they look at you like your nuts, they have no clue who the best of the best is....what if they did? Every fighter has a story to tell and the contender boys got to share their stories, imagine Ouma getting his sotry to the masses or fucking mathew Saad Muhammad-now these are real stories. One day the elite will be back on center stage, I just hope Im here to see it!

Peter is RIGHT! Man, Antonio Tarver could walk into any shopping center in the USA and people won't know him... but I bet they recognize Peter.
