Hehehe! I remember he flipped his opinion about Joe losing to Lacy but only AFTER the fight! :D
I said Calzaghe at his best would absolutely anihilate Lacy and embarass him with ease.
In the other thread you JUST said youd take Joe C over Eubank.
I'd take Calzaghe over any Eubank, yeah. He'd be far too busy for him.
However, I'd have Eubank at his best over Calzaghe, in terms of who was the best fighter.
Joe Calzaghe was dazed by an aging Eubank. If Benn hit Joe flush, it's goodnight and sweetdreams.
If Benn was KO'd by Watson and Eubank then Barkley and McClennan would have destroyed him.
Calzaghe is excellent, but I'd still have Eubank at his best and Bomber Graham over him.

Make up your mind.
IMO Benn, Collins, Jones and Eubank all take Joe.

All he says is that Calzaghe MIGHT have beaten him, Eubank, etc. That's not dickriding at all. Really he seems to be answering a question in the only way possible without starting a controversy by saying 'there's no way he'd have beaten me'.
I understand how boxers get really complimentary towards others when they have retired, becaseu usually young guys give the retired guys a ot of respect. It sort of turns into abig love fest of sorts. however, No way does he beat roy...........I think he would have to do a hell of a lot of dodging to stay in there with benn, although i do give him a shot. And Eubanks possibly knocks him out. My thoughts
Nige is an honest guy and has admitted that Roy Jones might of been too good for him too. He even admitted at many points throughout his career from '88 to '93 that he wouldn't fight Michael Nunn until his last fight, until he'd made all his money.. which suggests he pretty much knew he'd of been reduced to just a punchers chance against Nunn.
