i recently heard mayweather telling camera crews he's the best there ever was in the sport of boxing. though i think mayweather is a good fighter, he is not one of the greatest. honestly, who has he fought that was worth a damn? not de la hoya, mosely, trinidad, hopkins, pac-man, barrera, morales, jurez. he's fought a bunch of bums or fighters past their prime or fighters that have been hit one too many times in the brain(gatti). mayweather is on the right track with baldi, but if mayweather beats him who's next? de la hoya or mosely, i think jr's gonna lose his status as a pound for pound, for the simple fact that he's finally steppin up to fight with the bigg boys.
Winky Would Kill Floyd , Floyd Fights An Awful Lot Like A Converted Southpaw That Shouldnt Have Been Converted He Cant Turn Over His Punches So His Hands Always Have To Stay Up. You Can Tell By The Way His Face Is Vunrable When He Punchesw His Heads Up.. But When He Keeps His Hands Up He Has Exellent Defence..i Dont Like Floyd Beucae I Think He Is Highly Overrated But Im Still Waiting For Him To Prove Me Wrong None Of His Wins Are Signifcant.
their record speak for themselves .....
Who's record are you talking about? I just proved to you that they were all fights made with legitimate purposes except the Mitchell fight that was just there for the sake of his name. Every fighter has a few record padders (or tune-ups) in his record.
BTW, V.Sosa was ranked #1 by the IBF when he fought Spaddy and remained in the top 5 after the fight and until he fought Floyd. He was also in the WBC top 10 when he took on PBF.
castillo corrales judah are good wins for floyd imo, even gatti, gatti aint a class but most the time he gives as good as he gets and floyd didnt give him chance
Corrales was completely dominated. I was like WTF? watching that he did nothing at all in that fight. Knocked down 5 times completely exauhasted and ineffective.
Margarito is ranked # 1 or #2 at WW..
he is a title holder and has been crushing whoever they put in front of him
Floyd fought Sosa N'dou Brussles Mitchell????
go look at those guys records and who THEY have been fighting then STFU
Yes, Margarito is the WBO champ at WW. No argument there. I also won't argue that he's #3 at WW, behind Baldi (#1) and PBF (#2) according to Ring Magazine rankings. However, Floyd is fighting THE champ at 147, not a champ which is what Margo is. Here are the rankings: http://www.thering-online.com/ringpages/ratings2.html
As for those fighters you mentioned:
N'Dou was at 135, a division he was considered the champion at. It was also a mandatory that he took so he wouldn't lose the title. I can't blame a fighter for fighting a mandatory.
Bruseles was ranked #2 in the WBC and he fought him as part of a WBC eliminator match so he could be Gatti's mandatory. It was the only way to guarantee that Gatti would fight him for the title. Blame the WBC for ranking him so high, not Floyd for fighting the guy that opened a door for a title.
Sosa had given Paul Spadafora all he could handle at 135, even knocking him down twice in a round. He lost a fight many thought he won and remained highly ranked in both the WBC and the IBF. He was not considered a push-over, either, and went all 12 rounds with PBF.
Mitchell, tho, was just a name on a resume. He needed a fight at 147 and Sharmba was available. It was an easy showcase fight and a chance to add a big name to his resume. Not the most dangerous fight out there but I don't remember him being able to get anyone else at Welterweight to take the fight.
Now, how about you STFU since you clearly do not know what you're talking about. If you did not know that N'Dou was a mandatory, that Sosa was considered a good challenge (and not a bum) and that Bruseles was the only way for Floyd to get a shot at a title at 140, then you are clearly just talking out your ass.

Floyd fought those guys in the past.
Now he is fighting the undisputed linear champ.
Mesi didnt fight for a couple years and now he is fighting joker's that are 3-0 and 14 -1,244..
id be quiet if I were you..
Weak attempt at recovery, Charles.
There is one thing I want you haters to understand: you can't fight someone who is not willing to fight you!
He hasn't turned down Winky, Cotto, Hatton, or De La Hoya. These fighters all tuned him down! Who else is out there that people think he should've fought? He cleaned out 130 and 135. He was considered THE man at 130 and 135 before moving up to 140. There was nobody after Castillo at 135 worth fighting (and Lazcano and Stevie Johnston did not want to fight him). Since he couldn't make fights at 135, he moved up to 140 and ran into the same problem. Those who were considered the champs did not want to fight him. Ricky Hatton hid under a rock and Miguel Cotto was right there next to him. Kostya Tszyu was injured and then opted for his mandatory, Ricky Hatton, before giving Floyd a chance. Zab had moved up to 147 and the only other champs left out there were Gatti and Harris, who was involved with his mandatory (Urkal) and then a rematch clause in his contract. He chose Gatti and then moved up to 147 trying to find the money fights.
So, as you can see, Floyd is a victim of his own talent. He's so talented that fighters avoid him if they can. Only by becoming Gatti's mandatory did he get a chance at the title. He had to talk smack about Zab to get him in the ring, too. And Baldi is just looking for the $$$ that a Floyd fight brings so he can retire. People are just talking smack because they think he ducked Margarito when, in fact, he was weighing his options and waiting to see if DLH would give him a fight (for 10x as much as he'd make against Margo, so I don't blame him). When that didn't materialize, he chose the route with the most recognition for the same amount of money (Baldi is actually guaranteeing him $1 more and the chance to get THE Welterweight title, not just the WBO strap) and more prestige. Also, Baldi is more of a household name than Margo and more casual fans will tune in to watch this fight than a Margo fight (meaning more PPV buys and more money in his pocket).
So, don't say Floyd hasn't fought anyone. He fought the best available and has continued to climb in weight looking for glory and money. Nobody in the game compares to him talentwise.
LMAO he fought a guy that is 3-1 and 0??
and 9-27?? yep at this pace he will remain undefeated ..
i see you're logic now Mikey
He is staying active.
Mike never said he was going to come back and win the title or that hes the greatest in this era, but he said he has the longest active HW to remain unbeated and he proved that you were totally wrong when you claimed mesi hadnt been fighting.
