If he fights Wladimir, Lyakhovich or Briggs, he will not reach 50-0. don king is a sneaky bastard. He will keep Valuev away from any good big fighters as long as he can. I do not think Samuel Peter would defeat Valuev because I do not think Peter is tall enough to really hurt Valuev. Peter would have to punch upwards and that take's away from Sam's power. Sam needs to punch on an even or lower level in order for him to really punch with the full impact.
Go down to the gym and try it.
Don King may pull this off, because
Wlad and Peter are unlikely to fight a King fighter.
There are lots of bums to choose from in this degraded division, so he may well break Marciano's record.

as of now, one can only say yes...he is a damn mammoth of a man...boxers can only hope to out point him because he sure as hell wont be KO'd...he is actually pretty damn good...
Donald Hoskins will step up too fight him before he makes it to 50 so no he will not.
You're right, I can't see him having much of a chance against Donald Hoskins. Just too much skill, and too much power for Valuev to withstand.
I was at the fight live yesterday, and people were making fun of the guy once the "action" started...
yeah, people were probably shouting something xenophobic like "send that ruskie home"
king is exploiting the xenophobia
I'm sure they'll be extended until his 50th fight. I mean, it would make sense to promote the hell out of his 50th fight, talking about Marciano's record and all that. It would make a great PR for the fight.
I think the boxing public will have turned against him by then if he hasn't fought anyone - that's four more fights against non-elite fighters - probably 2 years or so - the novelty will have worn off.

It depends on if the WBA lets him keep scheduling the way he is now. Ruiz could be his mandatory again soon, and a carbon copy of their first fight in the US gives Valuev his first 'L'
King also has control of the WBO belt and if he wants to do a unification bout, Valuev will get an 'L' too - this will surely be before 50 fights. King only has options on him for 3 more, doesn't he?

Could Eubank beat Valuev ?
Not now.
The '91-'93 Eubank possibly could the way he'd leap/stretch in to land a shot (even a soft jab to the body) and be shifting back out (fast and smooth) again as soon as the shot landed (which caused an opponent to paw or miss or throw him off balance and allow the Bank to hit him again), he had developed good reflexes with martial arts training and stretching techniques. Chris also had some excellent body punching, which would slow the big guy down.
what about Serg? apparently hes had his eye on unifying the titles like crazy, and King is also his promoter.
the problem people are having is that Valuev will break the HW undefeated record...i thought Vauev already deserves some losses with Ruiz and Donald but whatever.
make Serg Valuev hapen and ill be very happy

Whether he does or doesn't is irrelevent to me. The significant of 50-0 is that it would best Marciano's record of 49-0. However, he would have to retire directly afterwords to truly beat Marciano's record. Many, many fighters have gone 50-0 or better in history before encountering their first loss. Julio Cesar Chavez was 89-0 before he received his first loss. So it's not like he'd be the first fighter since Marciano to do it. Going 50-0 doesn't amount to anything historically significant; it's retiring with that record and then never making an unsuccessful combeback that would give him the new record.
You know, if he could achieve that record, I could see him retiring and doing it. He seems like a humble enough guy who doesn't care about fame and money beyond enough to live comfortably. If he makes 50-0 he has the right mindset to go out on top IMO.
Odds of him getting that far without a blemish are unlikely though. I think Wlad, Peter, and possibly Maskaev would knock him out.
