Did Vic clear out the weight class? Seems like it if they're feeding him canon fodder.
Vic has gained a lot of recognition in the US. Arce SHOULD be next.
yes, ARCE SHOULD be next, there are no excuses anymore for this fight not to happen in 2007.
Doniare quit and it deff should have been a tko for Vic. Seems donaire has a history of doing this sort of thing but never succeded until now. someone wrote that he pulled the same thing when he got tko'd by gorres in 1rd.
lol.
half way into the fight, 6 rounds, Donaire pretty much knew he had no chance and a nasty KO was comin. He also knew he hadnt wont a single round yet so why even bother getting punished more for no reason.
Vic was real pissed man, especially after the Technical Decision.
Well just hope Vic would face a real opposition next fight.
I hope its Arce.
thanks man, youre a great poster,
I always believe the exciting braveheart fighter will always win the hearts of boxing fans and the respect of his opponent.
Donaire must have quit for some reason, his family maybe, his means of living.
Could Darchinyan break the jaw and knock this man down?

thats cool man.
I respect that you read things over and kinda saw what i was talkin about. Id never say Vic should kill Donaie, even though he was a damn quitter last nite which is the worse thing in boxing, a man with NO HEART.
I will say this though, both fighters belong to Gary Shaw, and he still has some interests to protect in Donaire, hence the set up for a loss, yet not a nasty KO/TKO one to jeopardize a few more decent fights Donaire may have in him for 2007.

oh, I know its not a foul, I see it clearly, the way Vic reacts troubles me, of course we may suspect Donaire quits not because of his broken jaw, he must be scared I thought about that.
Winning the fight not by KO must be depressing to Vic, thats what troubles me.
allright I may be wrong about some of your opinion, but still I like your fighter, he's one of the best around.

what are you saying man??
What does the truth have to do with killing/destroying someone??
Did i say i wanted VIC to do that to him?? you need to read my post and give it a minute and understand what im saying before you write that nonsense back.
Go watch the fight again, if you see VIC foul Donaire at any time, head-butt, elbow, whatever, do come back and tell me exactly where you saw that.
He wanted to quit and lose, fuck him, let him take a TKO or KO on his record, not make VIC into the bad dirty fighter.
A win is not a win if it isn't the way it should have been.

hey Vanes, relax, dont be brutal, do you really want Vic to destroy his opponent?
your guy wins, there's no need for Vic to nearly kill his opponent.
give the other fighter a chance, as i told yah, the fight was a mismatch. :fing02:

A win is not a win if it isn't the way it should have been.
of course he cares.
Looks bad on his record that he couldnt KO someone like Donaire.
Plus, VIC was on a nice KO streak (his last 8 fights in a row have ended by KO/TKO) so why have that stop now when he is about to go into the BIGGEST fight of his career possibly next year against ARCE.
There is always only ONE Truth, and the truth was that there was NO foul, no head-butt, no elbow, NOTHING. So why make VIC into a dirty fighter when IF he did break Donaire's jaw, it was clearly from a strong left or right hook to the chin during the fight.

why does vic care so much about how he got the win? granted, there was no headbutt unless donaire was butted earlier and the last few hits just sent it over the top for donaire, but a win is a win. is vic realy that concerned about something as cosmetic as what type of "W" he gets. everybody knows that donaire got his ass kicked anyways.

You see that expression on Vic's face... it pretty mush says "WTF, why did this guy quit on me like this, I wanted to flatten him on the canvas"
http://www.ufcfightnews.com/oct7/images/gz-darch0062.jpg
that would be his same expression when he sits on the toilet !!!
The doctor told the ref that she thinks he should stop the fight... He was saying "Does it hurt here? Oh it does? Then you should stop the fight.".
Although I think Donaire was just saying it hurt there to get him out of the fight.
Nonito was rocked in his 2nd to last fight I saw him in. He was going for the kill and got caught. I don't see his chin standing up to Vic either. Forget them 2 bros, they are done me thinks. I also think if this was true about a broken jaw, we need to give Paulie Malignaggi a lot more credit for going from the 2nd round up with that busted jaw/swelling on his face in the Cotto fight. Kid might talk a lot of trash though he has heart to go with it.Yeah. I'm looking at Nonito's prospects guardedly.
With respect to the jaw, yes there have been many instances where courageous fighters fight with busted jaws--Ali's being perhaps the most famous, then there was Mali as among the recent ones, and Abraham as the latest beofre the Donaire case.
But I see it as equally a testament to the courage of Ali, et al, as it is an indication of the lack of "fight" in Donaire, who had quit before against Z Gorres-- that time complaining about a vision problem, after having been hit by a left hook.
I also recall-- hazily, I must admit-- visiting the Philippines some years back, and watching on TV a Glen Donaire fight against a Filipino pug whose name I cannot recall. It was a delayed telecast, I think, of a card held earlier in a Manila suburb.
I remember the TV commentators saying prior to the start of the first round that Donaire had just gone through some marital problems and had just resumed his boxing career.
The first few rounds was better characterized not by blows exchanged but by Donaire complaining several times about fouls that only he knew about. Some time in the fourth round (I think, it was, but I'm not sure), he turned his back on his opponent and appeared to give up. The ref did not have any other choice but to declare the opponent winner. But, when the ref was about to do so, Donaire again complained--acting so much like a child with tantrums. Nonetheless, I recall the ref raising the opponent's arm.
I've scanned Donaire's record from whatever sources that are available to me, but could not, for the life of me, find any trace of that fight.
I've spoken by phone to the fellas who watched that fight with me on TV, and they recall the very same things I do. It's not easy to forget any fight that turned out that way, is it?
That was the first time I saw a Glen Donaire fight. Later, when I saw what he did in the Gorres meeting, I realized that I somehow seemed to have half-expected it. The more so after viewing Darchinyan-Donaire.
Sadly, Donaire, coming after the lackadaisical showing of Villoria, cannot contribute much to boxing's appeal in the Philippines. Jaca must do a lot better against JMM, even if (many say, "when") he loses.
Pacquiao, Bautista and Gorres have their work cut out for them.
Edit:Or, maybe, just maybe, Nonito shall make it his career mission to redeem the Donaire name.
a very bad call.
There is definitely no head-butt, elbow, nothin.
Donaire simply QUIT and didn't want to look like a QUITTER.
Lets make DARCHINYAN -vs- ARCE happen cuz you know no one will quit in that one till the end.
see...I told yah!
I cant blame Donaire.
It was a very clear mismatch, he's not ready for VIc.
Jorge Arce would be the man for him.
