keeps movin up in weight class? will he eventually be beaten due to the bigger more natural opponents at the heavier weights?
IF he gets pass Baldi, he'll sure lose against DLH at 154, too heave for him.
I will agree that Floyd is a better all around fighter now. The only thing I think Floyd has on Mosley when Mosley was in his prime was his boxing ability. I'm sorry I don't agree that Floyd will effectively go the body enough to wear him down and knock him out when guys that were a lot bigger punchers than Floyd weren't able to. The reason Oscar wanted the longer layoff was because Oscar is a little older and he wanted time to be 100%. I wated to see the fight sooner but if it means both of them coming in 100% and being in the best shape I can deal with waiting and not have them coming in in half ass shape. The other thing that you have to remember is that Floyd Sr. probably knows just about everything ther is to know about Floyd and he will come up with some kind of gameplan that will help Oscar. He learned everything he knows from his father.
accuracy along with accumulation has more impact than a big punch. When u can beat somebody up like that, that not only kills them physically but mentlaly as well. Oscar has never been beat up like that, but I think Floyd will do it to him with body shots. In actuality Floyd SR taught him the basics, the shoulder roll and the righthand, roger is the one that actuality taught him and bred him into the fighter he is today. Floyd SR had got locked up and roger was the one that was with him and training him. So if anyone really knew some kind of secret to beating Floyd, it'll most likely be Roger not Floyd SR. And after all Roger a better trainer than him anyways.
** Look, Floyd was beat up by Zabby at the beginning and end of their fight. Oscar is bigger and hits a lot harder. If Floyd thought he could beat these big guys he'd make the fights. Baldo is the slowest, least talented and the weakest of the bunch. Floyd knows his limits.
You Floydboys are like the Tyson freaks who still think he's gonna win a title, just completely delusional.
where have you been? he's tried to make fights with bigger guys including dlh and they turned him down. you come in every floyd thread and post bullshit you hater, and by the way zab just won the first 3 out of 4 rds. he was far from beating floyd up jackass and floyd owned him the rest of the way through.
Mosley is a head hunter as well. U gotta agree atleast that Floyd is a more all around fighter than Mosley. And if Mosley was able to withstand jab so can floyd. Oscar cant sit back and throw jabs all fight, Floyd will counter that more easily as the fight goes on. His best bet is too get in close and try an brawl and sneak that left hook. Im tryna tell yall, the body work that Floyd will put on Oscar would be the deciding factor.
i know he said the fight was off, but he also said he might retire still. if you wanted to fight again, I dont think u need damn near a whole yr to decide if your going to cont. to fight. I hope it does happen though so we cna see if the goldenboy is really that golden.

Check Hollisters post. He makes a good point that the reason Mosley was able to do that was because he stopped using it and tried to brawl with him.
Mosley has more power than Floyd and wasn't able to ever hurt or put him down. If Floyd tries to get into that type of fight with Oscar it will be to his disadvantage. Oscar and Flloyd will fight, there is too much money involved and he has already come out this week and said that the Trinidad fight is dead and will not happen, which I knew was never gonna happen anyway. He has gone as far as telling Richard Schafer top ignore Kings calls because he is through with dealing with them.

Yeah but Oscar stopped using it. I think that's a big misconception that Mosley adjusted and closed the gap on Oscar, Oscar just stopped boxing and tried to mix it up with Mosley to finish the fight strong. I think that if Oscar kept his distance, the volume of punches alone would be enough to win the first half of the fight because Floyd isn't a volume puncher, he likes to sit back and pick his shots.
did he stop using to brawl and finish strong or was he forced to stop using it. from what i could remember Mosley was countering off of that jab effectively, not so much in the 2nd fight though.
floyd isn't a volume puncher, he is an accurate concise puncher. he is great counter puncher as well. he has great timing and that jab of Oscar can be timed as it has been timed when he was in his prime, see Whitaker fight.
yeah he does got a nice jab, but it wasn't able to keep mosley off him the whole fight and Mosley was able to get in and be effective. That's make me think that Floyd will be able to do it as well. yeah he is stronger, but that is null and void when it comes to a superb boxer. if Oscar was on the same boxing level as Floyd skill wise, I would agree more. I just don't think he is, I think only winky is at this point in time. But only time will tell, hopefully, we'll be able to find out may 5th. i don't think Oscar will fight though. i think he is retired.

I don't think Floyd would be able to land to Oscars body as effectively the entire fight as you think. Maybe you forget that Oscar has a pretty damn good stiff jab that he would use to keep Floyd off of him. Oscar Probably still has onw of the stiffest and best jabs at 33. I don't think that weight Floyd could move to 154 and KO Oscar. I don't even thin that is a possibility. The difference when B-Hop did it was that Oscar was moving up to a weight class that he was clearly to small for and didn't belong at middleweight. At 154 Oscar is the bigger stronger fighter in a weight class he is comforatable in. For Floyd to win, he would have to use his movement and try to outbox Oscar. If hestands in with Oscar he runs the risk of getting caught and knocked out himself and if Oscar catches him Floyd will go down.

Oscar has good chin, i cant doubt that at all, and tito was hitting him in tha t chin and testing it, but what Tito doesn't do is go to the body well if at all. From what i can recall, he hardly went their effectively. Floyd would go their and be effective with. Like the guy was saying earlier with floyd able to land consistently and oscar stamina issues down the stretch, it's not to unlikey that he could get TKO. Afterall, B-hop put him down with a body blow, imagine Floyd hitting him with those kinda shots all night.
as far as Shane being faster, i don't know. It would be close, I think Floyd handspeed is still faster though. U say Floyd already has lost speed moving up, well he only looked slow against the boxer u love to hate which is considered one of the fastest and gifted fighters in the sport. And he still beat him to the punch. Shane just isn't the boxer that Floyd is and that is why he struggled at 154. His biggest weakness was his strength in lower classes, his power. floyd doesn't fight to KO a fighter, he breaks u down and looks for the KO when you are weak and vulnerable. For that a reason alone, I think he will be succesful at 154, now 160 i dont know. I beleive if he goes to 160, that is where he will get his L.

I think PBF could hold his own at 154, but beyond that is getting risky, naturally any great fighter who goes to high in weight is gonna lose, why is Mayweather any different. As for DLH at 154 I'd have to agree that it I don't think he'd win every round, I think the first few rounds would probably go to DLH, then Mayweather will adjust, then DLH would too, this fight would be a great one I have no doubt, & I wouldn't be that shocked if DLH handed PBF his first loss.
Your right cort I don't think much of Zab. I think he has always been very overrated. Oscar is a much better all around fighter than Zab. ALot smarter and more skilled overall I beleive. He is mentally tough and has the ability to make adjustments during a fight. Something we know Zab can't do, which is why he resorts to tactics like he pulled in the Floyd fight. Zab is nowhere near Oscars class. Your right Tito isn't the technician but if tito couldn't hurt Oscar you can't tell me Floyd will. Obviously Floyd is faster than B-Hop but I'm not sure he is the better technician and doesn't have the experience that Hop brings. It remains to be seen if Floyd will carry that speed to 154, he already looks as if he has lost some of it at 147 and is already a small welter. I made the point erlier about guys moving up in weight that rely on speed. Look at what happened to Shane at 154 and in his prime may have been faster than Floyd.

why would i waste my time arguin with u
Your right your wasting your time spewing your garbage nuthugging at least cort can make a good argument and not just run his mouth. I'm threw with your nuthuggin ass.
i dont think he will dominate Oscar for 12 rounds straight, but I do believe he has the advantage even at 154. U say if he catches floyd with that left hook, Floyd is goin down. he might go down if caught, but I doubt he gets caught. Now i know u don't care much for Zab, but if Zab was unable to land a high % of punches what makes u think Oscar will. Zab is way faster and prolly hits just as hard maybe a lil less hard. oscar doesn't have the handspeed to land that left hook. he would have to set it up and out think Floyd to land that punch. i dont think he can do that. Also Tito is not the technician that Floyd or b-Hop is. That breaking u down systematically is what makes them great. Also Floyd is light years faster than B-Hop and just as good as a technician, if not better.

cort at least I can respect your opinion and you make some good point. I don't agree witht them all but that is why we all have different opinions. At least you make good points and don't just run your mouth with nonsense like that other nuthugger.
That is riduiculous if you think he is just gonna dominate Oscar and have an easy win. I honestly think Oscar has the advantage at 154, he is naturally the bigger guy and if he catches Floyd with tht left hook floyd is going down. Floyd doesn't have the power to hurt Oscar. Oscar has been in with some big punchers and has a good chin. I guess Floyd hits harder than Tito and B-Hop. Floyd wil not hurt Oscar at 154. I'm not saying Floyd can't win, but for people to think Oscar can't beat Floyd is just ignorant. Take your blinders off nut hugger.

i said i could see it happenin not that i am certain it will
lol dont cry :bottle:
Your the one getting all butt hurt because someone is contradicting what you think about Floyd and here you come to the rescue defending him, I bet you have a big S on your chest under your shirt for him Captain Save-a-Hoe!!!!!
who the fuck ever compared spinks an oscar, i said tht because mayweather will fight spinks to have a unification vs Oscar
stop fuckin cryin :bottle:
No ones crying but you make it like he could handle them the same way, get your head out of his ass. I am able to be objective and say that I know Floyd could win you are fuckin retarded thinking Osar can't. I hope Floyd doesn't make any sudden stops because your head will be more up his ass than it alredy is.
