Apparently he's fighting some MMA guy from Pride in a Boxing match in China! Check it out...

"Confirming much speculation inside the fight media, Dream Stage Entertainment have officially announced their plans to have Mike Tyson fight in Macau on New Year's Eve.
DSE has revealed that their partnership 40 year old former heavyweight boxing champion will be further materialized on December 31st, as they plan to have Tyson compete against a PRIDE fighter in a boxing match, in the Macau Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. The locale serves two purposes for DSE: Tyson is unable to compete in Japan due to his felony rapsheet, whilst Macau is one of the world's hottest gambling venues, which could net revenue for DSE abroad.
DSE representatives say that Tyson's bout will be slotted into the live telecast of Otoko Matsuri, and will be seen by the live crowd at Saitama Super Arena in Japan on the video screens in the arena. It is the goal of DSE to have this year's Otoko Matsuri broadcast worldwide, including mainland China, Africa and the Middle East via internet stream.
Also, the announcement of Tyson's participation on New Year's Eve may be the key to restoring PRIDE's status on Japanese television. Despite losing their deal with Fuji Television in June, those in the television industry have stated that if DSE were able to get Tyson to fight on New Year's Eve, that Nippon Television and tv asahi would both be interested in acquiring the broadcasting rights for the event. According to broadcasting insiders, Nippon TV would be the frontrunner in acquiring PRIDE's broadcasting rights, due to higher spending power."
This is probably way to premature, but this just begs the question:
If Mike is effective in his exhibition fights and gets into good condition, will he get a title shot whether or not he deserves one? (a fight with Tyson obviously means big $$$ for any of the current champs)
It's official, been all over the web and news.
Yes, I just read a report on ESPN.com confirming an exhibition bout against former sparring partner and 'Maskaev conquerer' Corey T-Rex Sanders.
I always had a feeling that Mike would get forced into fighting again to settle his debts. I just hope he 'tries' when it comes to fighting and just isn't in there to put on a show.
Pride is actually going to be paying Tyson, UFC fighters, a majority of them, are still earning less than $100,000 a fight, a great ammount less than $10,000.
Plus Pride is more stand up than UFC..generally speaking
Since his loss to Mcbride, there has been numerous reports that Tyson is "making a comeback," fighting in "four roundas," or even fighting in exhibition bouts.
However, in all his interviews that I've read he always says how he'll never step foot into the ring again and how he "hates" fighting.
Point is, I'm not buying this news until I hear something from Mike himself confirming this.

Why Pride, aren't UFC guys easier?

How much is he still in debt, anybody know?
It sucks being Mike because if he was a rich white guy he would be in one of those tennis court prisons if he didn't want to pay back his taxes.
I believe it was close to 300 million.
Was trying to post it for a while...here is my text:
Reported by ESPN, Mike Tyson is going to face his longtime sparring partner Corey Sanders (23-10) in what is set to be a worldwide exhibition tour. There are also reports surfucting that Mike Tyson will be fighting in China, Mucau specifically, as part of his exhibition tour. Mucau, a growing vacation and casino spot, might be a great spot for Mike Tyson to make his return due to him being banned from Japan because of being convicted of a felony. Mike Tyson recently signed with DSE, owners of Pride FC, to help promote "The Real Deal" Las Vegas event, and there were rumors for months of him making a comeback to fight in China. His fight in Macau, shall it happen, will take place on New Years Eve. More so, he will face a Pride FC fighter that night.

mike needs the money
Well, if Mike fighting helps a televison network get Pride fighting back on the air in Japan for another contract......then, IMO, MIke should be paid a percentage until the contract runs out.....
With you.
This is terrible news. Tyson should not fight again. He's been put on his ass more than enough. He seems to have learnt his lesson. His fall has been one of the largest I can think of. I wish he could just rest and lead a relatively normal life now.
His debt makes him debase himself further for screaming monkeys who don't know better. If this is good news to you, you are sick and ignorant.:nonono:
agree...plus, have you seen the workout videos, the guy is huffing and puffing just doing simple combos...his stamina has been terrible for a while...he has lacked the fire in his eyes for a while and without that fire, your power is not the same, both in throwing your punch, and taking a punch; no adrenaline, no good, no win.
Can't this guy just do commercials, especially in Japan...maybe, hopefully, after a couple of wins by KO, his name can at least boost up again in Japan so that he can quit boxing and do some energy drink commercials...I'd rather see him do cheezy commericals than take anymore shots.
What about a book and movie deal: if he negotiates right, he can make buckets of money...I just don't know if he ever wants to do this.

The guy is probably the most tragic figure ever to step into a ring.

Mike has already been confirmed for a Boxing PPV, 29.99, exhibition bout with Corey "T-Rex" Sanders, I forget the date. They announced it at his world tour press conference.
