Did anyone else know he now has Buddy Mcgirt as his trainer? this guy already had nice boxing skill now he has a trainer that was able to transform Gatti into a good boxer. This can only improve Paulies game and i now expect him to become a great great fighter.
Maybe he couldnt beat Cotto on points so why not show the people you go a heart and chin to overcome his feathfist problem. That way you could have more loyal fan like Gatti.
I seen some of his highlight and i gotta say he moves fast.
LOL like anyone would want to get a detached retina and broken jaw on purpose. Don't you think his reputation would've been better if he had beaten Cotto than if he had just taken a beating? Your logic makes no sense, it only would if Paulie was a masochist, because no sane human being would go through that on purpose, much less someone who wants to give the impression that he's business minded such as Paulie. HAHA I just can't stop laughing - according to you, in order to get a reputation, he subjected himself to a brutal beating, risking mayor injuries, requiring medical attention and a training layoff, yet all the while he could've beat Cotto easily? Wow.
***lignaggi is garbage. And Mcgirt is not as good a trainer as he was made out to be. Hopefully it'll lead to another ass kicking
his lost to Cotto was part of plan he could have easily outboxed him but he wanted to stand toe-to-toe to prove a point as well as to give himself a good reputation of heart
Paulie's a good fighter, but I wouldn't be watching out for him. Buddy McGirt wasn't able to get Gatti past Baldomir, who Gatti was faster than on his feet and in handspeed.
I fell for the Paulie hype. Won't do it again. This just goes to show what happens when a featherfisted boxer runs into a brawler that shows no respect at all for your power. Paulie got walked through by Cotto and many other power punchers would too. I give him credit for his heart though, that's nothing you can knock on. Saying he's got Buddy Mcgirt as his new trainer isn't saying awhole lot either.
Especially with how McGirt fighters have looked this year.
