Undefeated IBF flyweight champion Vic Darchinyan has lashed out at claims by budding superstar Jorge Arce that he will take on all comers. Earlier this week in an interview with Fightnews.com, Arce went on the record as saying, "I don't refuse to fight against anyone. I will face the best in the world. Whoever is ready." Darchinyan (26-0, 21 KOs) says he is ready and has been for a long time. "How can he say all this stuff if I'm challenging him all along?" Darchinyan asked Fightnews. "I'm a world champion. I'm putting my two belts on the line and I want to fight him. If he's a good fighter, why didn't he take my fight? If he wants to fight the tough guys, if he wants to show his power, why is he scared of me? Why is he running from me? I'm calling him a chicken."

Darchinyan is next scheduled to face Glenn Donaire October 7 on SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING. "I'm going to knock him out," vows Darchinyan. "After that, I'm again challenging all champions in my weight division. If they take the fights, I'll unify. If they don't take the fights, then I'll move up. I want to challenge Arce. I want to fight him. I want to show everyone how I can knock him out. He's running from me. I want everyone to know about that."

cant get more CLEAR than this...
"I want to unify all of the belts," he said. "The next one I am looking for is the WBA belt. Lorenzo Parra is rated No.1 so I want to fight him next and win that title, too."
I think you proved your point, If any of the top guys in the division want a crack at the belts, he is waiting. It's obvious they don't want any part of him. there is 2 belts he is more than ready to put on the line. There is no excuses for any of them.

Karl "Freitag"?
Vic taking a fight with Parra is suicide
Oh how I hope Parra steps up when he is called out for a final time on Oct. 7th.

i wouldn't say so. vic is the definition of 1 dimensional, even though i admire his will to fight anyone. i think arce and he will clash soon enough and even though arce isnt the best boxer around he's leagues above vic in boxing. he just has to counter vics slow powerful, but very wide shots and see how vic takes the punches. and dont compare it to when people called pacquiao one dimensional because he isnt the whirlwind of pressure pac is.
i dunno how one dimensional vic is, but i do know arce is no floyd mayweather. hes a straight ahead warrior. he loves to scrap with the best of 'em. and THAT will give vic the win. there is no way arce can compete with vic in terms of power.
vic might be one dimensional (this i cannot be sure of), but arce isnt a boxer, hes a warrior, and there is no way he'll look to outbox vic.
i love arce. but taking a fight with vic is suicide.

I do admire arce and his skills and heart.
But there is no question that Vic is the next big thing with legitimate titles and a punching power to fuck up anyone in the division.
Arce should accept this fight. If he should just duck, then Arce will be added to the ever growing list of ducks and cowards.
Gary Shaw has contacted managers of all the other champions. He even spent thousands going to Argentina to make the WBO Narvaez fight happen, they backed out last minute. Im sure Parra has been contacted and knows full well who VIC is.
VIC will move up to Super Fly after this fight if no one unifies.
I don't think Parra was ever contacted otherwise it would have been all over the media that Parra refused a fight with Vic just like when Narvaez refused the fight. And this is Parra we're talkin about he'll fight anybody on their own turf.
I hate to break it to you but Parra doesn't need Vic. He's the number 1 guy in the division and will continue to be until somebody beats him. And like I've been saying if Vic really wanted this fight to happen he would get serious about it and tell his management to call Parra's people and have a fight arranged. Parra doesn't speak english and lives in Venezuela so he probably doesn't even know hes being challenged. For all you know Parra may also be challenging the other champs but it is only getting coverage in South America. Vic can say to the media all he wants about challenging the other champs but is he really trying to make the fight happen. And Vic fighting a bunch of nobodies is not helping his case. Parra may not be fighting the other champs but he is fighting quality opposition.

ok bro, you are right
you wanted some proof, i found it for you. Let Parra come after VIC if he wants him, Vic is a bigger name. Just like Arce is a bigger name and Vic has to go after him.
VIC will fight Parra with no problem, and you know it man.

Everybody calls out the champions after a big fight. Hell somebody is probably calling out the champs right now, Vic isn't the only one. What I'm sayin is that Vic isn't serious about a fight with Parra. All he does is keep on calling out Arce even though he moved up in weight and doesn't seem to interested in fighting him. Even when Arce was in the flyweight division he was never the #1 guy, Parra is the #1 guy. Thats all Vic does call out Arce then says everyones afraid of him then fights a nobody.

buddy, VIC has called out all Fly Champs, now if Parra considers himself a part of that, he needs to say somethin about it.
AND, I GUARANTEE YOU, VIC will call each and every Fly champ - BY NAME THAT IS, on Showtime after the Donaire fight. Make sure you watch it, so we can get rid of this excuse too.
and IM pretty sure ive seen an article before with Parras name in the list as well. Ill find it for you.

Yet I have never heard Lorenzo Parra's name come out of Vics mouth. He only calls out Arce even after he moved up to super flyweight. I guarantee you if Vic was serious about fighting him Parra would gladly fight him in Australia. And yet after all this talk about him fighting the best what does he do he fights another bum. And I don't buy that "everyones afraid of him crap". Lorenzo Parra fights the best and Vic is the one who is all talk and then fights bums. Just take a look at boxrec and see who Parra is fighting and who Vic is fighting and you'll see what I mean.

When VIC says ALL FLYWEIGHT CHAMPIONS, Parra falls in that group.
Parra wants no part of VIC either, or he would step up and say "Hey, you want the best, you want a title holder, here I am, come get me".
DONE.
Its pretty damn simple to me. If im callin out a group, and you are part of that group, do you stand up and say bring it on, or your gonna stay quiet until you hear your name in particular.
and he is fighting Donaire because there was really no other option besides not fighting at all, the kid Donaire at least had the balls to step in the ring with the Champ.

Harsh words my brother. I'll hold you too it if in the near future this situation arises. I know you back your armenian boys to the fullest so hearing you say that shows you are not biased.
Yes you have balls or you dont.
I dont think Arce is a chicken. Any pro fighter stepping in the ring whether a world champion or 4 round club fighter...they all have huevos.
Tell Vic if he wants this fight soooo bad to make more noise !
He is a quiet little guy.
We are the ones that have to make the noise, for the sake of GREAT boxing, and our Armenian and Mexican PRIDE.
you put some pressure on your fighter, and we will put some pressure on your fighter as well :D
AND, you can always hold me to whatever I say.
