According to endi.com, Miguel has turned down Top Rank's offer to fight Quintana since Top Rank wanted to pay him the same amount of money they did on Paulie's fight, which I think it was like 850,000? I don't blame him guys, this could be his first L, dangerous fight, he's taking a big risk and Arum don't want to put the $$$ out? fuck them. I hope they're able to work this out, I was looking forward to this fight. :boxing:
Cotto deserves more money from that money grubber- Arum. I don't blame him for demanding more. Quintana is a very tough opponent for anyone, especially when it is his very first fight at 147.
Quintana was once trained by Envangelista (Cotto's uncle) and something happened. Supposedly there is some beef between them.
Qunitana is Southpaw, faster and bigger than Cotto, so I see it as Cotto's most difficult fight as of yet----if he takes it.
I thought Quintana use to be trained by Trinidad Sr.?
Sure its a dangerous fight but how long does cotto think hes gonna get a easy ride. Its time for him to step up and earn the money.I dont think wins over chop chop and paul give him the right to demand over 1 mill paydays for non ppv fights.Ive never seen a guy get so much air time on hbo and good pay days without having to fight a elite fighter.

I don't know I was just asking. Do you think they're avoiding the fight?
That was the first thing that came to my mind when I heard of it, but, then again if the money ain't right why take the chance? That's the way he needs to do his business
