I cant get enough of this... How will the recent showing of Joan Guzman fare with that of Pac...I think after Morales, win or lose PAc should look for another horizon aside from Mexico...
As a Pac fan I really want him to fight Joan Guzman because I think this is a legitimate challenge for Pac. I dont care whether Pac-Barrera 2 will happen (dont care much cause I think it's not that exciting anymore 'cause Barrera is no longer the Barrera of the old). Moreover, JOan got the belt and that is a good motivation for PAC...and this is a GREAT GREAT EXCITING MATCH-UP. Dont you agree?
Nevertheless I'll have to go with Pac... PAc has a way of making a GOOD ( and GREAT ) fighter look horrible and old...On paper and before the scheduled fight, everyone he fought looks like a better fighter and stylistically a match-up nightmare for him( maybe because on screen he is very easy to hit cause sometimes he drops his guard everytime he lets go of his punches in flurry), but come fight night these guys finds out how difficult it is to beat him.
What do you think? Will Joan do the same thing he did to Barrios and toy once in awhile PAc? Will the speed of Pac be negated by the equal speed of GUZMAN? Will PAC fight a good fight against SLICK fighters like GUZMAN?Your thoughts on the whole aspect of the match up will be highly appreciated.....TNX
Velazquez wasnt suppose to annihilate Pac lol, the guy was his fukin warm up fight. Everyone knew Pc would win.
Morales vs Pac, Pac was favored to win the first fight. The majority bet was Pac by KO, and the same with the second fight.
Pac vs JMM was even, because most people werent sure about Pac yet.
and I dont know about the other fights you were talking about but them guys are all bums so I dont see how they were favored over Pac, and with the info you gave on these other fights, they probably werent favored just liek the other guys you mentioned. Sorry that just didnt make sense.
Velasquez was a pretty big foe for a "tune-up" fight. The fight only look like a one sided affair because Pac was so good, after the fight it was considered a "tune -up" fight but before it was held not a few people predicted an upset because of the size disparity. In fact, a lot of people believed back then that a Velasquez upset was more probable than a Raheem upset. In reality, it was a testing ground for PaC wheter he could really hang in with the big boys of 130 lbs.
The Morales 2nd fight, I agree Pac was favored, albeit, slightly to win, BUT BUT guess what, it was because MORALES came of a loss and a terrible loss at that to Raheem. It like a Morales lose is much more probable than a PAC win.
THis is non-sense my friend >>>>"and I dont know about the other fights you were talking about but them guys are all bums so I dont see how they were favored over Pac," because you haven't seen relatively alot of fights by PAC and your so called " BUM opponents" and now your very sure that Guzman will make a mince meat of Pac's punches.
why is that?
It's not even worth talking about. You are so biased to see Barrios winning! Please re-watch the fight and tell me which rds u think he won and then ill re-watch and see what u r talking about cuz right now I think u are messed up in the head.
the barrios fight.. he was outboxed and the judges saw the punhces of guzman better than the accumulative punches thrown by barrios..
wow... i dont even know what to say.
guzman will lose to pac..he has a win and all them guys are saying that he is the best at 130 thats too much nuthugging! cmon
its not nuthugging. everyone b4 the fight except for a few said that barrios would destroy him and that he was too big and strong. where are those people now? oo yea they are hating.
Yea man.. Just because Guzman looked good for one fight they think that they could put him in the ring with Manny. IMO Guzman is not ready for him. Let him fight a lil more.. But he is still going to lose. Manny is to fast.
no way. just because he looked good in one fight? he looks good in most of his fights. its no fluke that he looked good against barrios. he has over 300 amateur fights. who else can u say that about? imo guzman is ready for anyone. he just needs one of these guys to give him a chance.
just so u know.. he's already beaten Terdsak Jandaeng. the same guy who gave jmm a very competitive fight. very tough.
yea that's right. Just look at the faces of the guy he's fought in these few years. Barrera, JMM Morales, Larios. They all took alot of beating.

No one can handle nor take excesive punching to the face by Manny Pac.. That guy is a lil monster. He would Murder Guzman. I don't care how big he is.. Pacman would dance around him. Smothering Guzman with straight lefts and making him quit.

Pac was getting tired himself in that round in the end. You try throwing that many straight hands, you don't think you gonna tire? Marquez is tough guy too.
thats exactly my pt. jmm was down but nowhere close to out.
too bad theres only 3:00 in a round. if only pac had been prepared to go 3:00 rds instead of 4:00 rds he wouldve been able to ko him.
if he was that bad that he was looking for pac those numerous left hands he hit him with after the 3rd kd wouldve put him down.

yea, that's why he was looking around for Pac when he was dropped, CONFUSED.
he was close to being KOed. Like Pac said, had he had more time, he would've been done in that round.

I dont think he gets quite that high. 165-170 lbs is the highest he has reported to have been. 170lbs is also pushing it.
I think Guzman could handle Pac's power as long as he doesnt eat too many lefts. Guzman is a thick strong lightweight at 5'7.
Think again.
