Barrios: "I was shocked"

Joan wipes the floor with Edwin Valero. Valero's shots are wild and wide and would give Guzman time to evade them and counterpunch the hell out of Valero. I don't know if he can KO him because Mosquera hits pretty hard himself, but he'd outbox him for sure. I'd love to see him against JMM. I think he's the real threat to Guzman right now. Pac probably won't take a fight with Guzman but it would be an easy fight for Joan, just like the first Morales fight was easy for Morales. As long as you keep a jab in Pac's face and move, he can't hurt you. Look at how JMM bitched him in the last 9 rounds! I mean, Marquez won all 9 rounds from round 4 - 12 by jabbing and moving when Pac rushed. Barrera won't take the fight, either. I think he knows it's a bad idea and Oscar is looking for money fights like Pac or JMM and not Guzman.

The staredown between Barrios and Guzman was classic. Barrios flamboyant ring entrance and ring dancing before the fight sure pissed the shit outta Guzman

Barrios was drained on that fight, he look very slow and no power. LOL, hehehe, he was drained from dancing up to the ring. ;)

I think this wins foty if it happens. Thats a great possibility. Guzman fits right into a bunch of great fights at 130 and I think he can win any of them.

I would love to see Guzman matched up against any top fighter. maybe a unification with Valero or something. Maybe a fight with Juan Manuel Marquez. The fight I really want to see right now though is Guzman vs Humberto Soto, who is moving up. That would be a great fight. I think Guzman is capable of beating any 130 pounder. Hes not going to find any rougher/stronger/bigger guys than Barrios and he has the skills to hang with the other guys. Or why not Guzman vs Bobby Pac, i would love to see him stop Bobby Pac's little winning streak he haqs going. I think this wins foty if it happens.

Beware super featherweight there is a new kid in town. That goes for Pacquoi, Barrera and Morales if he wanted as well as any superfeatherwieght in the future. Freitas may stand a chance.

We all know Guzman has skills, but before this fight, I had a question about his chin because he has never really fought anyone as strong as Barrios, and he proved it last night. Guzman ate a lot of power shots from Barrios especially earlier in the fight, and he seemed unshook from Barrios' power, who is maybe the hardest punching 130 lb fighter right now. At this point, I give Guzman a great chance against any 130 lb fighter.

i was very impressed with his strength and speed.

Yeah he took Barrios hooks and everything and was smiling at him....while getting hit.
