"Mayweather should win, but I'm worried about his hands. Baldomir has a ridiculous chin that mayweather will hit alot, one hand is not enough to keep off baldomir"
to be honest, i never thought of that at all. Mayweather hurts his hands all the time, whats to say he wont hurt it when he hits a brick wall (aka, baldomirs chin)?
and if he does hurt his hand bad enough, how could he possibly keep baldomir off of him for more then a couple rounds?
i just thought that was a great point, and i cant believe i never thought of it
As much as it pains me to say this...Mayweather is going to win this fight. You see the difference between Mayweather and everybody else is that the man really knows how to win. He's a winner, not a loser and he knows how to adapt when certain situations happen. He has been through and seen it all. He is going to win this fight because he has a winner's mentality.
i hope ur wrong :D
"cause ill always be a winner, and ull always be a loser" george castanza's boss in the episode where george slips him a jimmy. seinfeld was such a great show... :D
I think this thread is kind of pointless. If anyone breaks there hand against a top notch fighter then there in trouble. Its like saying that if Peyton Manning gets hurt then Indy is in trouble. No Shit.
You can say that about Floyd in every fight but it will mostly always take something like that to happened before he loses
mayweather is more prone to breakin his hands through. peyton isnt injury prone.
thats why mayweathers gloves are enormous compared to his opponents...

yea mayweather hurt his hands vs castillo sosa and chavez..thats the only reason they didnt get the same treatment corrales and gatti got
Are mayweathers hands worse than gati.
I don't really see that been a problem because of 2 reasons:
1. Floyd hasn't had any hand troubles since he started using winning gloves.
2. Just because you have a "granite chin", doesn't litteraly mean you have a "granite chin". Their's guys with hard heads that have no chin and it works vice versa.
It probably wont be much of a problem for Floyd...Baldy is hyped up right now, but it will be an easy fight for lil Floyd. Baldy wouldnt get past Judah if they fought again...and Gatti is a bit worn down. Id give that fight to Baldy again. After the fight with Mayweather...look for Baldy to disapear.
This may have been mentioned already, but I suppose Judah underestimated Baldy. And Baldy fought a worn Gatti.
Which will most likely spell "unanimous decision" if not a ko
for Floyd. Just guesstimating.
I don't don't know where the heck my post went. But, I replied
that I'm sure PBF is aware of the danger and disadvantage of
having a broken hand in such a big fight. This would be a good time to showcase his A-Game, if Baldy brings it out of him. Baldy seems pretty determined to win this one. He definitely should not be underestimated even if he doesn't have a high knockout ratio. Makes this one an interesting fight.
Floyd will probably do all he can to win even with the broken hand.
His gloves looked kinda big in the Judah fight with his "Christmas" outfit. If he does hurt his hand, he will do his best to not let it be known. In the Judah fight he whispered in Roger's ear that he hurt his hand. Obviously the Baldomir will be tougher than the Judah fight though.
I read because of the new rule they are going to be wearing 10 oz gloves instead of the 8...the extra padding might help Floyd, though it might decrease his speed, which means his power is not going to be quite the same.
If the new rule is true and has to stay, it should be challenged by the boxers, unless they don't care.

that is a very good point mate and itl make the fight all the more interesting now
Floyd can fight through it. He hurt his hand in the Zab Judah fight and kept going. He should try not to land right on Baldomir's forehead since his head is hard as hell lol.
Well, this will be a good opportunity for Floyd to showcase his A-Game.
A broken hand is not going to be good for Floyd, although I'm sure he's
aware of the disadvantage. Baldomir is pretty determined and could certainly be the one to make Floyd earn his money that night.
Just because a guy is unknown and doesn't have a spotless record, he can still pull an upset which makes this fight pretty interesting.
Which ever hand Floyd breaks first I dont quite think he can fight the rest of the fight with one hand...given this is what happens in the fight. Baldo's chin is like a fire hydrant.
I'm calling the Upset of the year in this fight.
Baldo by dec.
more like upset of the decade! and im with u on that, i think baldy is gonna win this. idk why, i can just feel it.
I see the point about the possible hand injury but i dont think pbf will try to throw big bombs to force a ko,i think he will just coast through the rounds and settle for a comfortable ud.
