He didn't call it a slip, and if you look, he started counting, but both fighters popped right back up and started punching again before he could do anything. Since there is no mandatory 8 count in most fights any more, what else was he to do? The ref was confused and didnt know what to do. It was ruled a slip, the ref made a mistake.

I never put the two together. I rememeber this fight and never thought about this being the contender guy.

Watching the contender I have grown to love K-9 and his retarded stares into space...sometimes the guy just looks like he is not all there. It appears of all the fighters on the show the one most appreciative of the opportunity is indeed K-9. It is hard to get that Powell defeat out of my head however and after watching a bit more of him he is closer to an amatuer then a real contender. I'll be rooting for K-9 but lets get real, there is no real contender inside of him!

sorta reminds me of my lpast fight except i was hit waited for the 8 count stood up on great legs and the fight was called off, fucking amateur boxing refs

Anybody who gets knocked out in the first round sucks, in my opinion. Now the second round...well...that's a different story.

One of my favorite bizarre fights ever. 3 punches, 5 Knockdowns, all in 20 seconds. Great stuff

The worse part was watching K9's reaction afterwards in the corner. He only remembered being knocked down once and to watch the look on his face when they told him it only lasted 22 seconds was painful.

Damn, that is crazy. I find it quite disturbing to watch that for some reason. One hell of a lucky punch for Powell.

Lucky punch by powell, then again K9 does have a bad defense. He leaves himself open for big punches.
