What do you prefer, Morales Brawl or Marco's technical brilliance?

I was reading an article at the hbo website and thought about this. With the way I read it, and they were listing the top 10 Mexican fighters of all time, well, it sounded like they don't consider Morales at all in the top 10 or even talk about him aside from how Marco beat him twice. Where should Morales really stand when he retires? The fact that he prefers to brawl over box has put him further back among the top 10 and although he's a bigger fan favorite, it seems people would rather say Marco's boxing brilliance shows why he should be in the top 10 instead. What do you guys think about this? Has Erik really fallen that far back and is it mainly because of his two losses to Marco and now that they are both coming to an end in their careers, they can sum it up as Marco was the better of the two in this era and now they can push Erik aside? What the hell happened here? Oh one more thing. I'm not hating on either. I love Barrera's boxing/brawl style, though I love Morales's desire to always fight the best competition he can whereas Barrera sits and thinks about his competition abit more. Morales cajones definitely are worth mention. :boxing:

if it's technical brilliance alone, i'd give it to MAB. he can counterpunch well like JMM but he's not as boring cuz he brawls too.

I prefer Erik Morales no surprise to anyone i bet. He is more exciting and electrifying you hit him he comes right back after ya, it just drives the crowd crazy and makes fights much more exciting. Lik in Round 1 of Morales vs Pacquiao is a perfect example of what he does. :D

Well for one thing,Erik might get a little hot headed in exchanges,but he has great technical brilliance.I consider him an excellent boxer,where as MAB has a very fluid style that works for him,but I wouldnt call him a better boxer than erik at all.

let me point out something in the MAB-EM triology. MAB-EM -1 This fight was a brawl fight and one of the best of the triology. I though MAB won the fight. His brawl tactic are better than Morales. but Morales got the win. MAB-EM -2 In this fight it was opposite of the last one where EM boxed his way and MAB didnt want to come into an early brawl. I gave it to EM but the judges gave it MAB MAB-EM -3 Morales lost this fight fair and square. He was not in it and didnt want to fight MAB. He fought with a broken nose and that cause so much problem for him. MAB did most of the thing better than EM that night. EM is a better boxer but MAB is a better brawler. Its weird that people think EM is a better brawler and MAB is a better boxer.

I've always been a Barrera fan. I think its good he is retiring in 2007. Wasn't the same fighter in the Juarez fight, too many wars.

early on I would have chosed Marco over Erik, but Morales showed me how great he is with his two figths with PAC ... now I'll take Erik over Marco anytime ... one more thing MI AMIGOS, I know Mexico has a lot of GREAT CHAMPS, but could Erik REALLY not BE in the top 10 Greatest Mexicans Figthers of All Time?? I am one confused Pinoy :confused:

That's stupid, are they nuts? What Marco's boxing brilliance? A "green" PAC shattered that so-called brilliance. Morales beat PAC with his boxing skills. Although there were a lot of controversies on that fight. Morales is the warrior and if those Mexicans are thinking right, they should put Morales up there above Barrera, on the basis of courage and fearlessness alone. MAB's a pussy.
