True, but there is still a difference between middleweights of the 50's and Haglers opponents IMO.

Do you understand the word Underrated?? Maybe you don't know these guys very well, I don't judge boxer by hall of fame, I judge them by my eyes! You forgot to mention the 5 greats from this era, that was easily the best era in boxing history and I'm sure that many will agree with me about this era! U believe the hall of fame is wrong? The 5 greats u speak of would be Hearns, Leonard, Duran, Mugabi? and who? They were NOT great middleweights. Mugabi's first fight at middleweight was Hagler. Hearns first fight at middleweight was Hagler. Leonards first fight at middleweight was Hagler. Durans first fight at middleweight was Hagler. They were NOT great middleweights.

I'm a boxing historian my friend! ;) Ok thats good to hear! Me too. The problem (if you can call it that) with me is, when I think Im right, I think Im right. I just think being such a big fan of a certain fighter blinds someones judgement a little. I suppose everythings up for debate but we might have to strongly disagree on this one ;)

This question is void. There is no comparrison. Hagler was one of the greatest middleweights of all time. Robinson is the greatest boxer of all time.

I don't know if you can oversimplify the question like this. SRR, over the course of his career fought many good fighters, far more than Hagler did. But you can take Hearns, Duran and Leonard and they stack up extremely well against anyone.

Ray Robinson by a wide margin. No comparison whatsoever. Ray is the greatest fighter to ever grace a ring.
