Can Williams beat Floyd couple years down the road?

Yeah unless Williams body can handle it well down the road, I see him going after Jermaine Taylor at time. I don't think he can keep making welterweight for many years.

Floyd would go to the body vs. Williams and get inside on him. Floyd would not let Williams throw more than one or two punches at a time by getting inside his reach and landing a couple punches at a time. It would be a fight where the fighters spend more time trying to adjust to the other fighter than they do actually landing punches. Good fight but there is no way that Williams knocks PBF out. And Lacy is not coming back unless he actually learns how to box.

I think in about 4 years he could give PBf the fight of his life. His people are smart that is why they are calling out Margarito not Floyd. When Floyd starts to get old, this will be a great fight. If Williams keeps fighting the way he has we might have our generations Hagler v Leonard. I am praying for neither guy to loose before 2008 or 2009 so we can see that shit. Just imagine if PBF beats Mosley and DLH next year. Then Williams beats up on Maragrito maybe moves up beats Santos maybe Ouma. 2008 is looking great for that fight.

What makes a fighter a legit fighter is if they make the weight and aren't too fat or too slow... that's about it. Everything else is just used to insult FLoyd's opponents.

Floyd will fight the legitimate, undisputed champion -- Baldomir. baldomir is a featherfisted 5 7 journey man, its not like he gathered all the belts, he won one fight by a pnt and then beat a punching bag, if baldomir is so good drop some money on him, he is a 5 to 1 underdog

Paul Williams’s defense is his only liability. As long as he doesn’t give Floyd too much respect, he can overwhelm Floyd with his size. However, Floyd will be timing him with right hands throughout the fight. As long as he doesn’t start getting timid, he should do just fine against him even with the technical disadvantage. However, this fight won’t happen until later next year. Floyd is going to try to fight Shane in February and Oscar in may. By then he would have grown into a welterweight body but would have lost some speed. Floyd should fight him or Margarito in February because he will lose his best advantage against them once he moves up.

Possibly. Floyd has great defense, and Williams has none whatsoever. Williams does look more comfortable at welter than Floyd does. Floyd is more accurate though in my opinion. I wonder how long Williams can keep making welterweight.

Mayweather started at Featherweight and is 5'8. Williams started at Middleweight (although he can fight at Welter for now) and is 6'1. This is a mismatch and I sincerely doubt Floyd would take it. I'm not particularly sure who would win simply because Mayweather is such a slick boxer that you realy can't be sure if he'll lose unless he gets caught by a big shot... but Williams throws enough big ones that he might catch em'. He could probably beat him now. Floyd is not a natural welter so he has to pick his fights carefully. He would never fight Williams. Floyd could lose on sheer size alone
