hey people this was in an australian paper this weekend.
KOSTYA ALL FIRED UP TO FINISH THE BUSINESS
BY Peter Badel
a rejuvenated kostay tszyu is seriously considering a spectacular comeback to boxing admitting he has unfinished business in the ring.
speaking exclusively with the sunday mail, tszyu revealed a return was a genuine possibility following successful surgery on a shoulder injury he kept secret for 21 months
tszyu fought with the debilitating ailment in his world title loss to ricky hatton last year, but refused to disclose the problem because he didnt want any excuses
the russian born slugger had the operation last wednesday. he faces a 12 week recovery but the pint sized warrior gave the strongest indication yet he would make a comeback four months after claiming he had lost the diesire to fight.
'a year ago i thought that's it,' said tszyu, who has not fought since his brutal defeat to hatton 14 months ago.
' but now i think ive found something extra ive found some other way that i want to fight, as far as im concerned there is some unfinished things for me. the satisfaction is not there. its not the way i want it to end. when i fully recover from this operation , i will make a decision. it will be a very considered decision. i will think it through a lot i dont want any rush. i'm not saying im definitely going to fight, but im not ruling it out. if everything is better with this (left shoulder) its more likely that i will step in the ring again.
opinion will be divided on whether tszyu should return his trainer johnny lewis has said he would not support any comeback while many question whtether tszyu who turns 37 next month can defy father time and fight near his optimum again.
but tszyu insists he can return a better man than the injury stricken fighter who was floored by the ruthless hatton.
well now what do we think about that?
fought hatton with a bum arm
will he comeback
who should he fight?
discuss.
Bit confused on why my statement was ignorant.
Did Tszyu not quit on his stool?
Did Gatti not quit on his stool>
CHAMPIONS DON'T QUIT
yes you're right, kostyas trainer threw the towel in on him 11 rounds into a match he had fought with a shoulder needing surgery.
you heard it here first folks kostya tszyu is not a champion.
and yes roy shaw is in a position to judge. thumbs up slugger.
Vietnam wasn't a "War" in the sense of taking over, rather to occupy, to supposedly prevent "Communism" from spreading...we had/have the capabilities to just wipe the country off the face of the earth, but it is harder to try to invade and try to setup a "Democracy"...though that can be debated if that is what we were really there.
It is hard when the ally and the enemy look alike...if we were to follow the Romans, since we have those same capabilities, it would have not taken to long.
Same thing in Iraq right now: easy to kick the shit of them, and could just wipe them out, but that is not what we are supposed to do; were supposed to "Spread Democracy", which is bullshit since that is not how you do it.
You also have a bunch of Rich dicks in office that want to control the military and not listen to the Generals in charge of how to go about things.
I think Kostya is a good boxer. but i dont know i give a 50/50 chance against ODLH. Oscar Koed a guy who is techincal very bad and no defense but had a big mouth to sell PPV.
Kostya is one of the only fighter that dont say why he lost. and does not talk much
Yeah Kosta Has never really been outboxed in his life!!
American Blodd?
Italian Blood? well, maybe the modern Italian from Italy since all the strong/brave Italians of Roman standards, came to America in the early part of the 20th century...Italians made up the largest ethnic group in World War II, so I hear...saved your English ancester's ass.
Lets not forget, England lost to a bunch of Farmers with the prize being this vast Empire of land with incredible resources.
here we go, the Patriotism shit agian :D
Tszyu should fight Gatti to see who quits on the stool first.
Champions don't quit.
congratulations on your record breaking ignorance.
i think the pbf -tszyu fight would be the best match up.
he doesnt want a belt or a big pay day this is all about his internal satisfaction.

yeah, that's what i love about Tszyu. No excuses and no shit talking he just gets the job done. I would love to see him come back and rematch Hatton, who i like but not nearly as much as kostya.
Seeing tszyu lose against hatton was very painful for me and i hope he comes back strong and wins the rematch and then maybe retires on top. He has been a beast and deserves to retire on top of the game.
Classic post fight interview after the Judah fight after being asked about a rematch, "like he said in the conference, winner takes all"

I dont know about easily but I would predict DLH by TKO in the later rounds. Id like it more for Tszyu's last big payday.
Hatton fight I wouldnt want to watch.
Floyd fight would be the most interesting.
DLH is too big for Tszyu. Tszyu would get outboxed by the more technical DLH.
I wouldnt mind watching another Hatton fight as long as it took place somewhere in the US and with a ref that wont tolerate all that punching and holding.
I would give him a shot at beating Floyd no doubt. Tszyu likes to pressure guys and Floyd dont like that shit.
tszyu's style isnt made for de la hoya..de la hoya would easily outbox tszyu

A Kostya Tszyu Return in The Works?
Overseas publication The Australian, reports that former junior welterweight champion Kostya Tszyu is seriously considering a return to the ring. It was revealed by Tszyu that he was hiding a shoulder injury for the last 21 months, and recently had successful surgery on shoulder last Wednesday. details]
Aww man when I read the title I thought it was something about me...
But anyway yea Kostya coming back to fight would be good. Id like to see him rematch Hatton or fight Floyd/DLH.

i dont want to see another tszyu hatton wreslting match..no thanks...he said before if he cames back its defitently @ 147..i wouldnt mind seeing him in a warm up fight..then fighting shane mosley
He has the style to beat Mosley.

hell yeah. most guys id write off coming back at 37 but kostya makes u belive. who u want him to fight mr v? im leaning towards a rematch with hatton at a heavier weight. or even dela hoya to send them both off togehter
I am a big Tszyu fan as well. I was also unaware of the injury. I'd love to see him fight Hatton again @147. Injury free, I believe he would win a rematch. Only problem with Hatton is is frikin wrestling tactics in the ring. Knock him out Kostya...please! even at his age I think he can dominate, if not Hatton then certainly others as well.
who does everyone want to see him fight?
Miguel Cotto or Vivian Harris.
