I can't wait for Brewster to recovery from his Eye injury, and reclaim the HW div. He has been called THE BLACK ROCKY, by King, and i beleive he can live up to it. He has already KTFO of Wlad, and was handling Sergie pretty well with 1 eye. I can't wait for him to return and brin gth eHW titles back home where they belong. Brewster and Oleg would be a great 4 round fight ending with Oleg being KO'd. Sergie might last 6-8 rounds with a 2 eyed brewster. W;lad was able to go 4 rounds before, so i'll give him an extra 2 rounds, just from being scared and more cautious the 2nd time around. I can't commit on Valeiv because i am yet to see him fight. hopefully he won't be avoided.
ray leonards unwillingness to fight pryor is what caused his abrupt retirement actually ...
i think its funny ray got outta there in a flash right after pryor handed arguellos ass too him on a platter
detached retina is what Brewster has correct? That injury pretty much ended Ray Leonard's career sans a couple fights here and there years after surgery. Brewster likely is not going to fight for quite a long time.
Damn that would suck, i hope he can return. There are still a few HW's i lik ein the div, that i beleive can be great, Toney,Brock, and Sergie. I also like Wlad, his skills have become great since being with Steward.
That injury doesn't occur as much anymore since they started using thumbless gloves. That's actually why they started using them in the first place because that injury was so common.

the thread is very bias, and this guy takes it overboard, souns like hes crying cause the europeans rule the division, and is also making excuses for brewster loosing to lyhovich...
so i take that u r one of those guys, that don't like when people support their fighters. I think the Brewster/Sergie fight was great, and i'd love to see them do it again. I truly beleive that Brewster would ko him in a rematch, with that injury. Thats not over board
I really like Brewster (anyone who saw the Brewster-Liakovich fight has to have some respect for the man) but wasn't his eye injury due to getting hit by Liakovich? I mean he didn't get that injury by walking into the turnbuckle during his ring entrance. That's like saying if Roy Jones wouldn't have broke Virgil Hill's ribs then Hill would've won it. That's the point of boxing; to cause physical discomfort to your opponent in order for you to seize some sort of advantage.
What impresses me is that Brewster was able to go through the remaining 11 rounds of great action after the injury. And how can you not be impressed with Liakovich? He gave just a little better than he took and that's all that counts. I don't care if Brewster and Liakovich are "B" level fighters or whatever you may call them... any heavyweights that are willing to have a war like they did deserves some respect. Just compare the Brewster-SL fight to the Rahman-Toney fight and tell me what fighters you'd rather see in the future.
Now, in terms of Wlad. Well, yeah, he was gased but if I remember wasn't Brester really out-of-shape for that fight? If they rematched, I honestly don't think WK would make it past 6. Well, I take that back. After watching him fight Sam Peter and Chris Byrd, he has gone through "grab-clinch-repeat" training with John Ruiz so he'd probably make it through 8 or more. The thing that scares me about WK is that he's getting all this hype (once again) after beating a 6' or less, 213 lb Chris Byrd whom he already knocked out. He has lost 2 of his last 8 by TKOs in under 5 rounds by (at that time) relative unknowns.
Now, I'm not saying WK isn't the best heavyweight and I'm not saying Brewster or Liakovich are. I just want these guys to start fighting each other and get this whole mess straightened out. I just wish these heavyweights would realize that I'm 2 or 3 fights from being the "man" so I'm going to make the fights that matter. But I think the days of someone fighting just for pride of being the best are over.
i remember when morrison came back with broken hands and shit to ko a guy ...now a days if you get an eye lash in your eye its a legit excuse to lose 3 or 4 fights
i like how the same fans that are hollaring for us to forget about brewsters eye injury and saying its an excuse are also saying for us to accsept that klitchko was just tired in the brewster fight and maybe shoudla got a 3 hour inbetween round nap to recover ... well not that out there but its pretty damn close! lol
Don't forget Wlad went down 3 times against Peter, who is not as accrate as Brewster. Power is about the same
brew is a sharper puncher than peter but peter is bigger and much stronger physically and it was the combination of strength and wlads being off balance that led to the knockdowns. there wasnt anything clean landed. just push type punches to the back of the head to an off balance fighter. wlad would panick and get himself all off balance. I was very disappoined with him in that fight unlike many. I thought he looked like crap
so even though he had sergury the next day, you think that was BS? MY hats are off to Sergie, he fought a great fight, got off the canvas to win a tough decision.
I dont think his eye injury is bs,,,but I dont think its the reason why he lost the fight. I didnt once see him squint or anything. he lost becuase he wasnt in great shape and lykawich is a better boxer

he doesnt react well to punches. no question about that. but if you watch the brewster fight...it seemed pretty clear that his big problem was stamina related to throwing too many big punches. he was totally gassed and couldnt even keep his hands up which made him a sitting duck for a good puncher. how some people cant see this is beyond me
hate to agree with u but who the fuck doesnt want brewster vs liakovich 2 thats fucking insane
If you to read what I said , was that I dont think Lamon wants to fight Liakhovich again. At least not for a while.
he lost fair and square, he got his ass beat that night, thas all there is to it. Well see what happens later on if he comes back...
he did lose fair and square but he did suffer a fairly serious injury.
id say a detached retina is a decent excuse, dont you? i mean he isnt claiming to have been poisoned...

TheGreat1 is alright -- he is just supporting his favorite fighter. There is nothing wrong with that. Lamon is a highly respectable fighter -- I can see why he has fans and why fans think that he can be the best.
it pisses me off when people say that brewster lost the fight cause of his eye and making excuses for him, he lost fair and square get over it...
thats nice....
always have something constructive to say, dont we?
