This matchup is not nearly as one sided as everyone seems to think. True Mayweather can run rings around baldy, but I think everyone is underestimating just how strong and relentless Baldomir is. The guy is just as tireless as Mayweather and will be able to push him around to set up punches. Floyd is going to have to move brilliantly and work very well or Baldomir will be able to use his strength to great advantage. While Baldomir does not have margarito's one punch power, his physical strength, his compact interior punches and his cool relentlessness present a much bigger challenge.
Also consider the historical parrellel. Carlos Monzon, an Argentine fighter with several losses back home on his record but with a six year unbeaten streak entered the ring in 1970 against the legendary Nino Benvenutti. Without nearly the impressive victories Baldomir has on his resume, Monzon knocked out Nino and dominated the middleweight division for the next decade. He is the standard against which all Argentine fighters including Baldomir are measured.
Floyd is definitely the favorite, but this could be more interesting than most people imagine.
Again, you can say that about Margarito or Hatton before the Tszyu fight. He also beat way better fighters then people think. He had just KO Vargas, had a win over a prime undefeated Baloyi, and KO Carlos Rios. Those are some very solid fighters. People didnt pick him to give Floyd alot of problems for nothing. He was very legit
Please....Hatton had face 3 or 4 top 10 guys and established but aging fighters like Phillips and Oliveira before Tszyu. You're not going to justify N'dou's talents with Vargas. Rios was a decent journeyman with good experience. Baloyi was pretty average in the only fight I saw him in against a shot Robinson. He was lucky to get the win, Robinson deserved a draw at least.
N'Dou looked ok in with Floyd but that's about the only fight you can judge him on. The rest of the guys he fought were all tomato cans.

Get serious dude. He walked into a punch in a fight he was clearly winning and had already dropped the guy. That was 8 years ago. Pac has been KO since then. I guess he sucks also?
N'Dou was a very good fighter and if you deny that then your a joke. Anyone who even saw the fight will tell you that he was a good fighter

badmagick, why do you keep posting shit then deleting it then adding alot more shit later? That shit gets confusing.
Anyway, I think you fail to remember that Floyd has been turned down by Hatton, Shane, Oscar, and we all know that Arum wont put Cotto near him. He's now fighting Baldy and might fight Spinks or whoever next. Im sick of people saying that dumb stuff. Its pure hate.
You dissed all those guys I named but yet most people say the exact same things about Margarito. Who has he fought? He is a paper champ that only has a belt because it was vacant, he hasnt beaten one good fighter, he just lost 2 fights ago, the ring doesnst even have him in the top 2 at WW, and he again will be fighting a nobody soon.
Check the facts people
The same N'dou that got stopped in 3 by someone with a losing record and 5 KOs in 30+ fights to his name? He was a big puncher and not much else.

N'Dou is another guy who was a very good fighter. He only had one lost and had stopped everyone. Alot of people picked him to beat Floyd and the others picked him to give Floyd problems but then Floyd killed him. If N'Dou never met Floyd then he would probally still be dominating. That guy was a monster. He's actually similar to Margarito. There both basically the same exact fighter if you watch them.

You wonderful man. You tell it just like it is, never once missing step. Good job ol' chap. You're both a gentleman and a scholar.
First half is opinion, second half is fact. He hasn't done shit these last two years, FACT. He fought one EX top fighter in Judah, who was never really a top fighter to begin with.
Sucking Floyd's dick would be saying that he could beat any fighter, and completely ignoring facts of the matter. In the first half I said I didn't think he could be beaten by Baldi, but in the second half I show that I am not a complete fool and do not discount the possibility of an upset, though it is HIGHLY unlikely, as stated in the second half of what I wrote.
It's you're, by the way.
We all know Bruseles was nothing but I used his name because he was a righty. However, I will not let you clowns diss Floyd's wins over Gatti & N'Dou. Ill say the same thing Ive said a million times. If Hatton, Cotto, or a millon other guys fight Gatti then all you bitches will be on here talking about how big a fight it is and so on. Yet Floyd does it and he gets ripped. Not only did he do it but he killed Gatti unlike anyone has.
You guys can say what you want about Gatti but recently he has beaten alot of good fighters who alot of guys cant beat and he has only lost to Floyd & Baldy who just so happened to be the best fighter in the world & a guy who can beat mostly anyone at 147. Gatti still looked good against Baldy but he was just too big for him. Throw Cotto or Hatton's ass in with Baldy right now and watch what happeneds to him.
Guys who diss those 2 wins are just mad Floyd haters because if Gatti fought these other guys then you would be talking about how much of a monster fight it is and if N'Dou had faced Chico or Castillo after Floyd then everyone would be talking about how good of a fight it is.
Dont hate on Floyd because he is much better and can make very good fighters look ordinary, *** boys.
These 2 clowns have RJ & Margarito in there avater and there going to diss Floyd & his wins :D I cant stop laughing over that
You're showing your complete lack of boxing knowledge here, sir. Stop digging your grave.
Gatti has been dismantled by every good fighter he has ever faced. He had his face torn apart by Manfredy. He was TKO'ed in 4 by the Golden Boy, and he lost to MICKEY WARD. Mickey Ward never beat anyone, he was a journeyman, JUST LIKE GATTI. I thought Gatti was a good fighter when I first started watching boxing, and only knew his name and a few others, now I know differently, just like every other fan. No one in the world would deny that Gatti is an exciting fighter, but anyone with a brain will deny that he is a good fighter.
Tell me, which of these names that he has beaten are "good" fighters... (Leija is excluded because he is decent, but loses nearly every fight outside his hometown) Thomas Daamgard, Leonard Dorin, Gianluca Branco (step up guy, journeyman, whatever you want to call him, not a real contender. Never has been, never will be), MICKEY WARD! Joe Hutchinson, Erik Jabowski, JOEY GAMACHE! WOWY WOW WOW! HE BEAT A LOT OF GOOD FIGHTERS.
Debating theory is just fucking stupid. Maybe Hatton would lose, maybe his relentless agression and pretty solid chin work him to a UD. Maybe Cotto KO's Baldomir. No one knows, especially not you, so don't act like you do. Saying to throw Hatton or Cotto in there is just stupid.
N'Dou was a guy with a big punch who never fought anyone, and the instant he stepped up in class he got slapped around the ring. Big fucking deal. If he never made a step up in class maybe people would still think he's good, but most people would say "yeah, but he hasn't fought anyone good," which would be true.
I'll never deny that Roy fought guys over the hill, and never really tested himself. The thing Floyd should be most fearful of is ending his career like Roy did, having fought a handful of really good fighters and then putting it on cruise control for the rest of his career, waiting until guys weren't a threat anymore to fight them.
Charlie31,
You are hilarious! Gatti, N'dou, and Brussles are way better boxers than anyone your boyfriend Antgotskills Margarito has ever faced. It's amazing how much Bob Arum has brain washed you into thinking Margarito is best WW. He has only remained in the top WW is because he's been fighting bums over and over again. He has several legitimate WWs calling him out and who does he pick? Joshua Clottey? WTF! Before you go on criticizing PBF, you better criticize AM for his choice of opposition. At least PBF has the balls to fight real champions/former champs/ and contenders and different weight classes. The last time I checked, your man lost to a Daniel Santos! A "C" fighter at best.
We all know Bruseles was nothing but I used his name because he was a righty. However, I will not let you clowns diss Floyd's wins over Gatti & N'Dou. Ill say the same thing Ive said a million times. I really don't think Baldomir is going to beat Floyd. Floyd is nothing like Judah when it comes to preparing for a fight, he does not fuck around. Judah fucked around and lost a hairsplitting decision to him. Floyd is twice the boxer and fighter that Judah is, and he also has a better chin.
Look for a Mayweather - Gatti repeat, except Baldomir doesn't get as busted up. UNLESS Baldomir comes out swinging. He has to know that he doesn't have a chance in the world of outboxing Floyd, so he just might do that.
I'll agree that he represents more of a challenge than a lot of people are giving him credit for, though. IF (and this is a big if, because Gatti is a C boxer imo, and Judah is a punk bitch who doesn't prepare properly, and is not mentally mature at all) he applies pressure properly, and uses his strength to his advantage, which I can't completely say he won't do, then he has a real shot. The thing is, Floyd has been in there with guys who do that, and they do it better than him (JLC, for example), and he knows how to deal with that.
I honestly believe that Floyd is such a skilled ring technician that he will be prepared for just about anything that Baldomir throws at him stylistically. There is a possibility, however slight, that Baldomir could come up with one of boxing's greatest upsets ever (the odds have got to be really high against him), but the likliness of the matter is that Floyd beats him, and beats him convincingly at that.
You have go to be out of your fucking mind. Gatti is NOT a good fighter, never has been, never will be. He had a ton of heart but was nothing more than a glorified clubfighter. Using those three names just shows how worthless your opinion is. Floyd has looked far beyond all boxers since N'Dou because he hasn't fucking fought anyone. This is a step up in competition over the last couple years for Floyd. It's also an enormous step up for Baldomir.
You stupid bitch. You suck Floyd's dick the whole 1st half of your thread and then you spit out his come in the 2nd half. Your a fucking idiot

I am serious when I talk about blocking punches. When was the last time you seen a righty land any kind of clean shot on Floyd? His speed & D is that superb now. The only shots that land is when he is letting him with that defense he has. Thats why I dont see any righty being able to beat him unless its a 154 and there too big for him.
We will see how many clean punches he lands. Gatti is a good fighter and do you remember him landing any clean puches? N'Dou? Bruseles? The other guys landed a few but thats because there lefties. Baldy will fall in line with the rest and I bet it will be hard for you to remember a clean punch that he lands unless its just a basic jab or a body shot, which Floyd still blocks most of them also

It's gonna be foolish to say that PBF is the same PBF as before. The guy has gained more experience and of course confidence going to this fight. But be real dude, even if Baldomir is slower than him, there's no way that PBF can block all his shots. I can assure you that one or two of Baldomir's punches will hit the target and that is the most dangerous part.:D While Baldomir doesn't have a high K.O. percentage the guy is a legititmate welter and we never know how his punches will affect PBF.
Baldo has shown heart and the ability to rise up to the occasion and with a very capable and inteligent corner on his side I won't be suprised if Baldo puts PBF on a very compromisisng situation. There's no way Baldo can outbox PBF so expect him to take the best chance he has, and that's to go all out and slug it out.
Having said that, I'm all HYPE UP to see this fight.

I cant see it happening. If this was the Floyd before the N'Dou fight then everything you say could be true but Floyd is a much more offensive fighter now. Therefore unlike other elite slick boxers, Floyd is actually a monster on the inside.
If Baldy does manage to get close then I still think Floyd kills him even on the inside. If they go toe to toe then Floyd will still slice him up. Baldy is too slow for him. Floyd will block all his shots & counter him to death if they go toe to toe which will happened more in this fight then alot of people think
Monzon wasn't monzon till he beat nino. And to suggest that nino was not a legend is nuts, he beat emile griffith two of three times. Great technical boxer. Won the Val barker trophy in the 1960 olympics.

Haha man shut dat shit up, Baldi aint Monzon and PBF aint Benvenutti, Baldi has had a good run and beat two descent fighters but, the two of them dont amount to 1 Mayweather and the fact is Baldi will be overly matched by a fast smart defensive fighter who has mastered the art of boxing.....So all that mythical metaphor shit doesnt weigh on a fight inculding the Best V a Common Opponent, at least in the eys of the Best!
