Why is everthing PPV?

yeah it's not worth it. i'll just wait after the fight, if they say it's good, just download it. but i'm thinking this will b another boring one. hopefully someone will fly off the ropes! :cool:

This could be boxing PPV's all time bust. I'll bet 1 out 10 people will buy this PPV.

i cant wait to see how many people buy this fight. its gonna be laughably low. wouldnt it be funny if this turns into FOTY material though.

I'm going to the sports bar at the casino, mostly cause I wanna watch a fight. I also agree only special fights should be ppv worthy. Casual fans start to hate boxing when they get roped into a sub-par ppv at 49.95 and the fight is boring or a draw or even worse if a guy melts down and quits. For the sport I think that they should find ways to generate money in other ways and present the fights on cable or even more crazy on network tv. This would all be possible if there was a universal sanctioning body like in every other sport known to man...lol

I'll just wait for next Sat. to watch it on HBO.

I will not be paying for this fight. This should be on boxing after dark not PPV.

I am fucking sick of this PPV bullshit. Rahman Maskaev PPV? This must be a joke... Just about any fight these days is PPV. This does nothing for the sport of boxing. Nothing... And why are people still buying these PPVs? If you keep buying they'll keep charging. We all need to stop paying for these bullshit fights. it IS a joke. i would never pay to see rahman in a PPV match (except for the vitali fight, which never happend) and i would never see maskaev in a PPV match... ever. and i sure as all hell would NEVER buy a PPV with BOTH of them in the main event.

The fighters and promoters play just as big a role in this as HBO or Showtime does. They all help convince casual fans to buy a fight that is not PPV worthy. The fighters also help this because alot of them believe that they are worth more than they really are. If a fighter wants more than 3 million for a fight they will have to make it PPV.

There are some that are worth it,but Rahman v. Maskaev is not worth it at all!

Unification of the HW should PPV, Floyd vs Oscar = PPV, Pacman vs Morales PPV, not fights like Quartey vs Forrest, Mosley vs. Vargas, Spinks vs Karmazin, a lot of thes fights aint no better than Friday Night Fights.
