Pac's resume is so ovverrated. Dude recently got KO in 99, had a draw with Sanchez when the fight was stopped on a cuts but he still had a draw despite Sanchez having 2 points deducted. He beat MAB but he caught him off guard and MAB had all that brain shit on his mind.
Then he had a damn draw with Marquez despite dropping him 3 times in the 1st round. When Witter beat N'Dou alot of people still gave more credit to N'Dou because Witter dropped him a bunch of times but the fight was still close. This is even worse. He dropped Marquez 3 times but it was still a draw which means that Marquez outclassed him in way more rounds.
Pac then beat 3K who had just had a draw in his previous fight and 2 fights before he was shut out for a easy decision win where no one gave him a round. Then he fought Morales and easily got beat. Since then Morales looked like shit and even was shutout against a sorry ass Raheem. The next fight Pac Knocks him out and everyone gives him props for that but anyone could see that Morales was done.
Then he beats Larios who is also done and just got killed in his previous fight by a 3 round KO. Since then he has been trying so hard to get MAB & Morales back in the ring. That is the biggest joke in the world. Why would you keep calling out guys you already killed? Does Floyd go around calling out Gatti & Chico? There not even on Floyd's mind and if he tried to fight Gatti again then everyone would be ripping him but it's ok when Pac does it.
Pac is now going to fight Morales and guess what will happened? He will probally KO Morales and get so much hype again despite Morales having already lost 2 in a row, 1 by KO, and was nearly shut out in all of them.
There is so much double standard going on that its pitiful. Pac can beat up on guys past there prime but get so much credit. Pac fights a bunch of guys coming off of losses but people rip Floyd if he does it. Pac in the last 6 years, has lost a fight by a clear UD, lost a fight by KO, had a draw in a fight where he dropped a guy 3 times, and had a draw in a fight despite his opponent having 2 points takened away from him. 2 years prior to that he was also KO again.
No, he is not #1 and people need to stop giving him so much credit for these wins. This is clearly not noway near the same Morales who beat Pac a couple of years back but people will act like Morales was the p4p best after Pac beats him again.
After Hopkins beat Tito he then fought Hakkar, Daniels, Allen for the 3rd time, and a washed up ass Joppy but no one ever talked about dropping Hopkins ranking. Its a double standard.
I just gave you Pac's resume and most of you have also heard me break down Winky's shit also. Him beating a Mosley who was basically new to the weight and hadnt won in 4 straight fights or Tito basically coming off of a 2 year retirment and had just been murdered 2 fights before. Both Mosley & Tito clearly werent anywhere near the top of there game when Winky beat them. These guys recent wins arent as big as people make them out to be at all and definatly Floyd deserves to be #1 over them, espically if he beats Baldy.
People just hate Floyd so much that its a double standard and they love to rip him but overlook guys who do the same exact things and even worse stuff

So Pacquiao was recently knocked out 7 years ago? To put that into perspective, I'm a sophomore college student now, but was in 6th grade when he last was finished. In 1999, De La Hoya and Tito were undefeated, Holyfield was the heavyweight champ, and Naseem Hamed was ruling the featherweights. That's not exactly recent.
The Agapito Sanchez draw was nothing short of shady, Pacquiao won virtually every round before they stopped the fight. Morales beat him easily? I'm not sure what your definition of easy is, but typically great fights aren't easy.
You think Larios is finished? Why, because he was stopped on cuts? Larios was killing himself in camp to make weight, which he eventually failed to do for all of his troubles. C'mon, Larios is still a world class fighter. He can go to 126 and beat everyone in the division.
The shock about the Barrera issue is that Barrera is supposed to be held to a higher standard of balls. Once hailed as the next Julio Cesar Chavez, I don't think Chavez would've allowed someone to kick his ass all night and get away with it. If Barrera doesn't go back and prove he's the baddest muthafucka still, he would've dropped considerably in my mind, where he once was considered just a bad doo.
Its easy to claim that someone is overrated, especially when you downplay their Hall of Fame achievements. For real, you did a good job at it ;)
With that said, I don't think Pacquiao is pound for pound 1, I think hes a strong number 2.
biased post.
I have Pac at 3 , behind Mayweather who is at 2 and Ronald Wright at 1.
why would floyd be a joke if he fought a naturally bigger man in Baldo ? Baldo has the belt. :D
Biased? lols! You're kidding right.
How biased can that be ha? Prove me wrong or eat your words.
PBF is a ducker. He made up stupid excuses why he won't face Marga and in the end it backfired hard right in front of his face. He ate his own words because of his contradictions when bottomline he's just afraid and wants to duck.
PAC has defeated the best and in such a horrific fashion. You see his opponent's faces bloated in blood, twisting in pain and rearranged literally by PAC's punches. He has defeated all-time greats and has faced world champs as tune-up fights (Larios). he has consistently fought top level opposition and has never ducked anyone in his division.
Now you call that biased? lol!
I would shudder to think what you could conjure up in excuses along with some PBF fans who have been in denial for far too long.
It is you who are biased because you can't accept the truth.
Not yet. When he beat eric, marco and juan manuel then he would be the undisputed # 1 on the condition that PBF continue to duck margarito.
I agree with you here PROF!
but maybe would change mine a lil bit who PAC has to beat within the next 2 years, first Eric, then the winner of marco-juarez and then unify the belts against Barrios and maybe Valero ...
if PAC can pull that off, PBF to retain his NO.1 spot has to face and beat the likes of Margarito and/or Dela Hoya the next two years ...
PAC is p4p number 1. Floyd is a ducker. PAC is beating p4p greats and making them look stupid.
Give me a 108 pounder who can beat and literally tear apart p4p greats in the likes of Barrera and Morales. Defeated fighters like JMM, Larios and company and has fought top opposition non-stop.
Floyd's been fighting bums the last couple of years. If he fights baldo, then he's a joke.
Anyone who has a ducker as their p4p number 1 aint thinking right. Floyd is a ducker. He's afraid he'll get exposed by Marga.

i dont get how people can put 2 guys from the same weight class on p4p list
p4p is no one in their weight can beat them
yet u got two guys
some times more
Bullshit it is. Because everyone on that list can be beaten. EVERYONE can be beaten.
P4P is who has performed the best in recent times, against the best opposition, in every weight class. Moving between classes helps a little. And Hopkins fought at 175 last, not 160.
As for Barrera and Pac - they fought 3 years ago, and have both done great since then. They have both fought the best, and won most of the time.
DLH can beat Floyd, as can Mosley, and perhaps Marg (I wouldnt pick Marg though), but Floyd is still number 1. Barrios, Morales and Barrera could possibly beat Pac, but Pac is still number 2. etc etc
Thank you for explaining why no one takes you seriously.
What a joke.
You nailed it :D
Well, PAC id just no. 2 for me and PBF is still no. 1 P4P
The good thing about PAC is that if only logic would allow him to fight 2 guys in one night he probably would. He is the only fighter that is so relaxed he is even grinning when he is making his walk to the ring. It just shows that he really loves to fight and that is why alot of people adores him :boxing:
Ponce de leon would break pac in two...ponce is the hardest puncher in the 126 130 and 135 ...he would make pac retire...so all that we can say is run pac run ..de leon cometh...beware b4 he takes your lunch money away......
Thank you for explaining why no one takes you seriously.
What a joke.
1.Floyd
2.Winky
3.Pac
4.Calzaghe
5.Rafael
6.Taylor
7.Castillo
8.Hatton
9.Barrera
10.cotto/abraham/baldomir 3-way tie
thats how i see it, rafael and taylor could switch from 5 or 6 dependin on how u feel but the top 5 is as accurate as it can get...
Well I dont know about Calzag at number 4.
yeah, he had a good win against Lacy, but before that he wasnt on any p4p lists, and neither was Lacy.
Taylor beat the Undisputed champ and number 1 p4p twice and is still below him.
Doesnt make sense to me.
One of the reasons the 10-7 round was still legit and most likely why that judge scored it that way is because Marquez was completely winning the round until the knockdowns occured and it was only the first round. I'm sure he didn't want to have Marquez that far behind right off the bat when he was in control until that point. Either way the draw was a good call because neither man should have lost that fight. Was amazing! As far as this topic goes, I see your points and always understood that stuff before you mentioning it and it is a reason I wouldn't put Manny at #1. Though...if they had a F4F list(Fear 4 Fear), Manny would be #1 on it. He hasn't ducked or dodged anyone and has beaten those he has faced of high recognition mostly by TKO/KO.
1.Floyd
2.Winky

He beat Marquiez, one of the judges is proven retarded by giving Pac the first round 10-7 when he didnt know he could score it 10-6. Hes a fucking moron.
Some judges won't go any lower than 10-7. Not sure if that's the case with that judge or not, or if he just thought he couldn't score 10-6 and wanted to, but I've heard judges say that 10-7 is the worst they will go if the fighter is still fighting and able to continue.
Personally, if they are all 3 solid knockdowns, then I say go 10-6. But if there's a real flash knockdown thrown in, then I'd go 10-7. It just depends...
All of you guys need to read my 2nd post on this page. I said that Winky & Pac are easily 2 & 3 and you can flip them how you want but there just not 1. Im not hating on them because there both elite guys and are definatly at the top but I just think that Floyd is clearly #1. I dont hate Pac at all and he's one of my favorite guys to watch. I was one of the only few who picked him to beat MAB
1. Floyd Mayweather
2. Manny Pacquiao 130
3. Winky Wright 154
4. Jermain Taylor 160
5. Marco Antonio Barrera 130
6. Bernard Hopkins 160
7. Joe Calzaghe 168
8. Rafael Marquez 122 or is it 118?
9. Ricky Hatton 140
10. Jose Luis Castillo 135 even tho he cant make weight
Something like that.

Pacquiao is overrated
Im surprised the nuthuggers havent posted here....well there are a some not the whole pito crew lol.
Overrated? By some perhaps, but he is a damn good fighter. He is definately top 2 p4p.
1. Floyd Mayweather
2. Manny Pacquiao
3. Winky Wright
4. Jermain Taylor
5. Marco Antonio Barrera
6. Bernard Hopkins
7. Joe Calzaghe
8. Rafael Marquez
9. Ricky Hatton
10. Jose Luis Castillo
Something like that.
Pac belongs in the top 3 P4P, I disagree with you saying Pac resume is overarted, which really is not.
PBF is and will be the #1 P4P guy until he loses, but Pac def belongs in the top 3 P4P list, just not #1.
that's the proper way of posting it. DLT got so much pac hate he needs to bring pac down to prove his point.
how can someone be overrated when he's in either 1,2 or 3 of almost every P4P credible list?
