I haven't seen too much of these guys and wanted to get opinions on the fight. I have seen Clottey a few times, and he looks like a solid prospect. He was DQ'd versus Baldomir... does anybody know what the DQ was for and how was the fight going?
I haven't seen Gutierrez but he looks fairly untested against superior competition. What do people know about him? I think Clottey by later round TKO/KO.
Mayorga had a good chin. He had never been knocked down until he faced Tito. No shame in being KO'd by Tito and DLH who are both pretty good punchers. Remember when he dropped his hands and let Forrest hit him...classic
yea man that was crazy. it wouldve been great if he whooped tito but didnt happen. nah i know mayorga has a beard but idk if gutierrez does
ive seen gutierrez fight. hes a fast hard puncher who attacks both the head and the body consistently. he punches from all angles but idk if he has the chin to stay in there with clottey. hes basically a mayorga with skills.

i give clottey a shot at beating 90 percent of the division.. hes built like a rock and punches pretty hard.. i cant see him outclassing anyone with skills tho..
I agree completely with you. I've been saying the same thing for about a year now.

For instance if he were to challenge for a title who would you put him up against... who wouldn't you put him up against?

Even Zab's Judah's low blow against PBF didn't get him DQ'ed so I don't know what happened.
Maybe Baldomir couldn't continue and therefore they had to call the fight?
If Trinidad isn't DQ'd for what he did to Vargas after that knockdown I don't see how anybody else could be DQ'd for hitting low.

I checked boxrec, it was in london

Clottey was dominating the fight but was DQ'ed w/o any warning. I believe he hit Baldi low but was pitching a shut-out. Baldi said that he'd never fight Clottey again; I think because he knows he'd lose if they rematched.
No warning? How devastating a low blow was it? That doesn't seem fair... was the fight in Argentina?
