Everyone says how Bojado beat Cotto in the amateurs and this and that. This is their amateur history.
Their first fight was in Cheo Aponte Gym in Puerto Rico and Cotto won 15-7
Their second fight was 5-0 in favor of Cotto
Their third was 7-6 for Bojado in Mexico
Cotto won 2 and lost one which very well may have been a hometown decision.

Does it matter if hes Israeli? No it doesn't.
Hes fucking with you anyways.
cotdammit lizard ....
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Lizard King again.
I'm gonna have to google this, where did you get this info ?
have you really turned a blind eye to the star of david that he sports on his trunks? that and miguels jew-hook nose?
you must've missed this part in my previous post:
(just throwing numbers out)
there is a 3 yr difference with Miguel and Cotto.
when they last fought Miguel was 19 and Panchito was 16
but in the pros all that is irrelevant (to an extent)
no disputing Miguel is good, I like him.
you do know, miguels half israeli.
Some more Cotto amateur facts
1997 - Bronze - Central American Tournament (Mexico City)
1997 - Gold - Regional Tournament (Colombia)
1998 - Gold - Pedro Julio Nolasco Tournament (Dominican Republic)
1998 - Silver - Pan American Youth Tournament (Mexico City)
1998 - Silver - Central American and Caribbean Games (Venezuela)
1998 - Silver - Youth World Championship
1999 - Gold - Jose Torres Tournament (Puerto Rico)
I think the only reason they bring it up, or the reason I would even mention it is because Miguel is older.
so imagine a 13 yr old amateur fighting a 16 yr old (just throwing numbers out). maturity, speed, power.
and it is very significant in the amateurs. Panchito was very young and Miguel was a lil older more experience.
13 year olds cant fight 16 year olds in the ams.
15-16 year olds is a age group
17+ is an age group
and im no sure what they are below 15.
well couldnt the same be said for the 2 wins he got in PR?
No the first fight the score wasnt as close at 7-6 it was 15-7, Cotto had more than double the points. But in a fight as close as 7-6 its a big differnece, especially with amateiur scoring. And i think the second fight was in America, the one he won 5-0.
