Of the fighters mentioned above, who's been facing the best opposition over the last three years?
Choose 'other' to pick someone not mentioned, and say who and why.
:boxing:
i voted other reason being i have to go with holyfield he fought the best of the best throught his brilliant but ill fading career youll be hard pressed to find any fighter ever with a resume like his
Whoa... calm down Charlie doesn't mean it as an insult. It's just how he posts. And you are wrong... Tarver may not have the best resume but he most definitely deserves to be on there. When he fought RJJ the first 2 times he was considered top 3 in terms of p4p. He followed that up by fighting Johnson who had just KO'd RJJ. You are right that Johnson isn't flashy but check out his record and you will see he has got some bad decisions and fought really tough opposition. Top that off with Hopkins who was still high on the p4p list and I don't see your logic.
Im a yellow belt in karate and your telling me whoa...whoa. Just conversing here no need to really fire fire me up and make me go put on my gee.
Im wrong?
Look, Tarver fought Glenn johnsonson and an absolutely motherfucking shot Roy Jones in three consecutive fights...he has had a nice run against good comp but comparted to the rest of the list he finishes last.
Im wrong once in a while...but not here.
I'll tell you what...nothing about Jermain Taylor has made me a fan. He's a really nice guy, I can see that, but based on what I see in the ring, nothing has drawn me towards liking him. If anything, though, I am a heck of a lot closer to it after he picked Winky Wright as his first opponent since becoming middleweight champion. That was a real ballsy move- Winky is no push over, and after two consecutive fights with Bernard Hopkins who could have blamed him if he took a break?
Though he might now...despite saying he wants to fight the best..his promoters are looking into matching him up against Sergio Mora...and honestly I think that's a joke. Maybe just me...but I see Taylor walking right through him.
Dont um boy me boy...
He fought Glenn Johnson twice...Glenn is a nice fighter who makes you work hard but by no means has he EVER been a huge road block.
Roy the first 2 times was great but the third fight should not be one that you blow a load over...it was easy money.
Why um boy me...its just not right.

i say castillo. not only has he fought the best, hes done so very very actively. in 16 months (from june '04 to oct. '05) he had 5 consecutive fights against the best competition in his division, defeating every one of his opponents in those 16 months.
good point saint
as scap previously said
one can make a pretty good argument for any of the fighters listed
um no, like him or not, he fought Roy, Johnson AND b-hop

Yeah if its last 3 I go with Taylor but if we go back further you have to give it up for the Winkster. I really respect the fact that once he established himself he didn't do what other people did to him and duck.
Taylor, easily.
Considering how green he is and challenging well established p4p fighters.
DLH is honorable mention too.
taylor has fought tough opp, no denying that
his last 3 were tough
but wrights last 6 top it bro
Winky.
Candelo, Hernandez, 2x Mosley, Trinidad, Soliman, Taylor.
winky fought taylor after 2 close wins over b hop
taylor wasnt as green after those fights
winky fought and clearly dominated sugar shane 2x in a row. this is a fighter who took out dlh clearly once (many agree dlh was robbed insecond fight)- after coming off of the fight with hernandez
winky absolutely controlled and embarrased tito who had just ko'd mayorga and look great in doing so
winky clearly has better opp just look at his last 6 fights
please no nuthugger comments
i'm not even a winky fan
