Green NOT to fight lacy in october!!!

Tarver is not young and he didnt start boxing long time ago. He wants to get a lot of money before he retires. I think Tarver is going to make some investment outside the boxing ring

Lacy - Tarver is a perfect fight for both of them. Tarver needs to stop being so demanding on the cash side of things, he's getting on and time is ticking. Lacy has a bit of time left. Tarver doesn't want to give any of the gate to Lacy, he claims Lacy isn't a draw.

That's too bad, I was hoping this fight would happen.

I think in Tarver will come better prepared if he fought Lacy. why? coming from a terrible loss to BHops and he needs a win as well as Tarver could box. I heard Calzaghe wanted to fight Tarver if he wons Hopkins

why Lacy, I wanted to see that fight bad. 2 knock out artist going at it, it would been a hell of fight. I dont know why Lacy wants Tarver and most of the $$$. Yeah Tarver lossed an embarassing fight but it was to Bernard Hopkins. I dont got nothing against Calzaghe but he aint no Bernard hopkins. Lacy need to stop tripping.

They just said on wednesday night fights that LACY said that he doesnt want to go in that direction. ur thoughts????I think he ment that it would be a step down to fight green. I think he is better than that as he has had a belt and defended it many times. Why would he ever consider green who has only a list of journymen and a couple prospect in almost as many fights as lacy. I sure lacy when he heard it wa like what the fuck is this bullshit. This is not to say it would not be a very good fight but I totaly understand lacy green is not going to bring any money to the table, where lacy is a former champ and still is a world class fighter.

Lacy's problem is all that muscle. HE is slow with all that rock hard body.

Lacy would be lucky to get 35% of the purse. Tarver is the name fighter who actually has some big wins. Lacy has no big wins and nobody knows who he is outside of the sport. let's not go doing this again... just as many people who know who Antonio Tarver is, know who Jeff Lacy is... :rolleyes:

It's apparent that Lacy stepped up in class too soon. I'm surprised Green's people are willing to possible repeat that by putting him against Left Hook already. Lacy should take on a guy barely ranked in the Top 15 in the division he wants a title shot and win by blowout on Showtime, keep training and improving, then maybe take another tune-up before taking on the top of the division. I agree, take a few tune ups and work on i dunno... say... JABBING? ;)

i actually would like LACY to fight TARVER for one main reason. I loved HOPKINS when he fought, and i want his legacy to mean a bit more then it does right now. Now that he is retired, he can't do much about it. But If TARVER can destroy LACY, it'll make HOPKINS's win over TARVER look a lot better. Just like when TAYLOR beat HOPKINS 2x, and then we watched HOPKINS destroy TARVER, it made TAYLOR's wins over HOPKINS look twice as good. u know what i mean? I heard that, comrad.

Last time I checked, you don't go to a big fight after losing every round and getting knocked down in the biggest fight of your career. No way can Lacy even begin to talk about fighting Tarver until he WINS a big fight. Tarver will gobble up all the money and leave Lacy with nothing but a beatdown. I know I know.. But Lacy said that he should get the 55% of the profits made from tickets and the purse. But, Tarver said that Lacy doesn't have the right to make those demands. lacy is trying to fight tarver. Why would Lacy wanna fight Tarver? He would get more credit knocking out a young up and coming fighter, not a old fighter that was dominated by a older fighter. Lacy is quickly getting on my nerves.
