Corrales hasn't got the frame to hang with welterweights. He might do well at 140, but I think he would struggle with the Hattons and Cottos of the world.
i dont care who he's beat u fool..look at his speed and power..he's a top 3 weltweight 5 at the least
How many top class fighters has he stopped? His power's a myth.
Speed I'll give you. I've never seen someone chicken dance so fast.
ppl on this forum acts as if judah is some kind of bum...a focused judah is a top 3 welterweight
Pfft.....maybe 12 months ago before the division got flooded with new talent and other guys stepped it up. Who's Judah ever beaten? 1-1 with Spinks, a close win over Chop Chop and a deeply unimpressive win over shitty Witter, who took the fight on 12 days notice, isn't exactly awesome.
BTW, you're a friggin' idiot.
i can actually see him taking out Judah at 140 but the others you mentioned would beat him pretty bad IMO.
Think of Zab as a faster, stronger, sharper and quicker version of Casamayor.
I dont know why he would move up into an incresingly competitive division.
Plus, he has all the competition at 135 he can handle.
Factor in his chin problems and the hitters at 140, i dont like Deigo's chances.
idk about an asswooping, but he might lose here and there.
Chico is probably tied with hatton as my favorite fighter, so what i say might be a little biased, but i think that chico could win quite a few fights at welter.
I think chico could take hatton the distance and possibly take a decision.
I think that chico is one of the few fighters who could knock baldomir out, even if they did fight at welterweight. Of coarse, he would need a warm up fight to get used to the weight, but i think he could do it.
But i do WANT corrales to stay at the 135-140 area, because thats where all the chico fights i wanna see are at. pacman, hatton, frietas, and a castillo fight could happen at 140 down the line(i still got hope...)
im a corrales fan also..but he would hardly knockout baldomir
It may depend on what happens in the Casamayor fight. If he wins he will probably stay.If he loses he may move up to 140.Really as long as he stays in the 135-140 range I'll be happy. Many great fights for him in this weight range.

i like chico in the ring too man
but take out a tough welter who just walked thru gattis shots
i doubt it man
chico would be tryuing to glue his chin back together first
he's just not made for wlter 5 11' or not
i agree with diego fuego chico has too many big fihgts at 135 right now
freitas rematch, dia showdown, barn burner with chavez, and wrestlin match with raheem
moving up in weight equals one thing for chico. an ass whipping.

Corrales' frame could not take the punches that the big boys at welterweight would dish out on him (Judah, Margarito, Hatton, Mayweather, even Baldomir)
I could see him trying Junior Welterweight out in another year, but why go up when he's got some enticing fights at 135 with Freitas, Casamayor, Raheem, Diaz, Chavez, etc?

Since the fuck when did you start becoming objective about you boy Chico?
You have come along way Fuego...a long way.
I've always been objective about my favorites to prove a strong counterpoint against Castillo fans

He doesnt have to stay at 140 once he goes up. He can go back down if a fight with pacman or freitas comes up
