On October-23-1994 what would have happend

now I'm really getting irritated. as it was, we were still only one Boneclutcher right hand away from a Tyson-Spoon showdown. Back in the day, I always thought Spoon would have given Tyson fits if in shape.... During the Tyson domination days when he was looking quite ordinary against the likes of Tucker and Clutcher I was telling people that Spoon would be the guy who would dethrone Tyson. Of course that never happened becuase of Spoon's troubles with Don King and his troubles putting the fork down. Yeah, if Spoon was in shape and serious, Tyson would have had trouble. We would have found out a lot sooner than February 10th, 1990 what Mike was made of...and maybe, just maybe, Mike would have been at his best too.

What a ninth round in Holmes v Spoon. Tim had Holmes going, but Holmes showed why he was great and came back swinging. your getting me all fired up Dogg!!! Damn, now I'm gonna have to go home and put that tape in...THAT WAS A GREAT ROUND!! :D

Dave, I with you 100% on that notion. Tim should have been Larry's successor and he and Tyson should have had an Ali-Frazier type of rivalry, IMO; but Tim was always "terrible" with his conditioning. On that date Tommy Morrison was supposed to fight Herbie Heid to get his WBO belt back, and also on the card was supposed to be Ray Mercer VS Frank Bruno please give what you think would have happend. i say Tommy Morrison KO round 3 And Frank Bruno by UD Morrison would have more than likely squashed Hyde...and I'd give the edge to Bruno to win a decision as well; but Ray was always dangerous about last minute comebacks....and Bruno had a tendency to fade down the stretch. I'd say a repeat of Witherspoon-Bruno isn't out of the question in that scenario, honestly.

If you class the IBC as a championship belt, he beat a 40 something Foreman, lost to Michael Bentt by TKO in the first round for trying to brawl, He was beating Mercer until he caught a beat down in the third round, and Lewis was simply too good for him. Basically, whenever he stepped up, he lost. I honestly think he was rushed too much, he'd fight four times in a month, I can't name a fighter who fights that often in this era. if your not impressed with him beating a 44 year old foreman how come no one that fought foreman except holyfeild could beat him? i am not saying he was great i am saying he could have been

Tommy was a very skilled fighter with power. To say he was great or even close to it is incorrect. He was fun to watch and I actually like the guy. His lack of chin,stamina and dedication proved to be his downfall. I always looke forward to his fights becuase they were usually exciting.

Morrison was a beast in his day, that guy would have dethroned Tyson no problem, if they didnt stop him from fighting due to his false positive HIV test results. They screwed this guy and everyone knows it, he was going to be a champion to be reckoned with.
