morales 250k fine for pac fight

I have sufficient time to make the weight,” said the 30-year-old three-time world champion. “The fine will practically leave me with no money.” How much has Morales earned in his career? $5-6million, even though i hope it doesnt happen...If he does get fined will he really be literally broke after paying? Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question...Hope he makes weight.

well i hope morales makes weight. there was news he hired a weight trainer recently just for this. he have all the time in the world to do that. on the other hand, a 2-pound / $500,000 would sound cool for pac, it'll keep him from making commercials for a while LOL! :D

I think that what he means by Broke is that he will make no money off the fight after paying expenses, taxes etc. Not that he would be in finanical ruin.

I dont think Morales meant he will be broke if he is fined. What he probably meant is that he wont make much money from THIS fight. Im sure by now he has earned enough and made at least 1 or 2 decent investments not to be broke and relying on his las few fights to have money in the bank. If a legend like Erik Morales goes broke because of only $250K, then im sorry but he is a REAL IDIOT for not doing somethin with the millions he has earned up to this point. plus they do mention that it will be $250K per pound that Morales is over so this fine could go up into the millions if he pulls a Castillo.

Yeah that's right it's 250 K for every pound that exceeds 130 lbs. But there's also a clause that says team Pac has the right to refuse the fight if Morales comes in 3 or 4 pounds heavier. I'm just suprised that wasn't mentioned. That's to damn high lets hope Morales comes underweight. ________ AlphaGod live
