HOW MANNY Pacquiao wished that he was the one on top of the ring Saturday night in Las Vegas and not the hapless and immobile Randy Suico who was beaten to a pulp by the rugged Mexican Juan Diaz.
"I am not boasting but I know the way how to beat (Juan) Diaz," Pacquiao said from his hometown of General Santos City yesterday hours after viewing Suico’s disastrous showing in the World Boxing Association lightweight title match held at the MGM Grand.
"I could beat Diaz by using lots of movement. Diaz is a perfect opponent for me," Pacquiao said, his voice sounding thrilled as though he was about to feast on a plateful of his favorite dish.
Pacquiao said Suico’s strategy of engaging Diaz in a phone-booth warfare was costly since Diaz inflicts heavy damage inside.
"Randy fought Diaz’s fight and he should have punched to the body more often and stayed out of Diaz’s punching range," observed Pacquiao when he caught up with a late re-run of Saturday night’s (Sunday morning) slugfest.
"Suico did not use his reach advantage and footwork. He doesn’t even use head movement," said Pacquiao, who vowed to avenge the Cebu native’s loss although a fight between him and Diaz is not on the horizon at this point in time.
"Someday I will fight him (Diaz) and I will beat him so we can have some sort of a revenge," added Pacquiao, who had previously sparred with Suico.
A Pacquiao-Diaz showdown might even take place sometime next year in the event the Filipino gets past Erik "El Terrible" Morales in their rubber match on Nov. 18.
Pacquiao’s American trainer Freddie Roach had earlier expressed belief that Pacquiao has still what it takes to win even he goes in the 135-lb division.
Meanwhile, Pacquiao is arriving in Manila tomorrow for the final phase of his preparation for a mini-concert that will be held on Sunday afternoon.
After spending the night at the Cardinal Santos Hospital during the weekend, Pacquiao proceeded to General Santos City on Sunday morning to be reunited with his sons Emmanuel Jr. and Michael Stephen and pregnant wife Jinkee, due for delivery in September.
Because 132 isnt a real weight. WTF, I thought this was pro boxing and not amateurs. 132 is an amateur weight. If I was Pacquiao, I woulda told Morales to take that **** to the Golden Gloves cuz their is no 132 in the pros.
What about the new Pac weight classes going on today ,, 145 , 144 , 150
Are you telling Pac to take that crap to the golden gloves ? because I dont think Ive read where you say that anywhere .

Brilliant! :D
self fucken ownage. :lol1:
and I agree..
I dont think Casamayor or Freitas could hang w/ Diaz at this point...
I just felt Casa would be the harder of the two....
Diaz is one boxer that I hope develops into a great figher..too exciting not to wanna see him scrap...
But, Diaz destroyed Cotto, Sim, Irwin & Suico, fighers that fought his fight...
Yet seemed to have problems w/ Julien Lorcy...who stayed on the outside and fought his own fight..
If he's learned to adapt, he'll be great, if not,he'll eventually get beat by a boxer who sticks to the jab & move..
exactly the only way to beat diaz is to jab and move. diaz may not have ko power but he does throw short sharp punches that do hurt.
diaz may be the heftier guy but it doesn't equate automatically as being the stronger puncher. pac has the higher KO percentage, 79 to 50. although you can say diaz's opponents were bigger at 135, pac was able to carry out that KO rate thru the diff weight classes.
i'd say even chance for both. diaz is more comfortable at 135, but i believe pac can carry his speed and power up so it'll be a good fight. note that pac will probably be more beefier too than at 130.
Hey, who told you I was a Pacquiao fan? :D
This fight is as even as they come. After hearing about this, I was really into the idea. Juan Diaz and Pacquiao both come to fight, its a dead even matchup. Pacquiao has the advantages in power and speed, but Diaz is stronger and fresher.
The big question is, how will Pacquiao adjust to the lightweight limit. Don't let the name fool you, lightweight is a precipitous leap for a former flyweight titlist. I really like the way Pacquiao has acclimated to 130, he has really compensated well for his smaller frame. But at 135, 10 pounds above where he was 2 years, it seems a little ambitious to me.
On the flipside, we haven't really seen Diaz fight the kind of fighter Pacquiao is. Since he's become champion, he's beaten guys like Sim, Suico, Irwin, guys who are painfully slow of foot. A mobile volume puncher is that type of fighters poison, a style they cannot contend with.
I'm also concerned about the way Diaz squares his shoulders often. It's a technique that only works with power punchers, which is why Corrales and Pacquiao have effective by throwing big shots with both hands. Diaz is a guy who likes to use his offense as his defense, and against a guy with quick feet and hands you can't get away with that. He also takes punches while squared up and has been vulnerable to straight shots down the middle. I dunno, his whole body position just seems custom made for a Pacquiao left hand.
The book is pretty much out on Pacquiao. He likes to fight, and its tough to beat him in his comfort zone. Pacquiao is a sturdy chinned fighter who comes to get it. They're styles are just a fight fans dream, this shit will exceed the Morales and Marquez wars. The Marquez fight wasn't as exciting as people make it out to be, it was just dramatic. Pacquiao-Diaz would be one of the most insane action fights, Barrera-Morales shit.
If a gun was held to my head, I would go with Pacquiao just cuz hes proved himself before. That said, I'd be insane to count Diaz out. I don't even care, I just wanna see them go to war!
unbiased post :D
diaz does square up, he does take quite a few punches but many land on the gloves.
if he didnt cover so well he'd get hit too much. although i think diaz does better when he boxes a bit more and turns his opponents. in fact i think his best performance was against sim who i see as being superior to jm cotto.
i think diaz can get hit with a straight left when he digs the left hooks to the body
i need to go back over the vids and see how well he keeps his right tagged to his chin when he throws multiple lefts
such as when he hits 2-3 lefts to body then one up top
aldo i think diaz seems to be able to take a punch better these days
he tasted the canvas early in his career (edit) but sim landed some hard shots that didn't seem to phase him
i hear some commentators suggesting diaz will move up in weight one day
i think he should shed some chub and move down. his hands are fast enough, and his power would be more evident
either way. i def hope this fight materializes, sooner better than later
asiansensation your an obvious pac fan
hey he's a warrior man , he always brings it
when do you see a fight happening between pac and diaz?
and how do you see it playing out?

Don't even waste your time, Vanilla Gorilla is an idiot.
I'm an idiot because i post logical posts ??? or i'm an idiot because i dont agree with you ? get real.
Yeah Freitas is thicker, stronger, bigger and could easily make 140 but that doesn't give anybody an instant conclussion that Pac is going to lose, that is if you are being objective :) Knowing Pacquiao's fighting heart a fight with Diaz or Freitas is realistically a 50/50 fight.
The correct statement is Freitas "might be too much" or "could be too much" and it's quite different when you say "would be too much" :D Don't be too sure of your opinion because that is what's pissing too many people here.
ok here...both started boxing in 1995. Pac started at 106. Freitas started at 135. Both are power punchers and both let it all hang out in the ring. Freitas being the naturally bigger man with the bigger punch and the advantage of being in the weight class his whole career should favor him. Pacquiao has a huge heart but a huge heart cant always guarantee you victory over bigger opponents who are just as skilled. I say a Freitas fight is 70/30 in favor of Freitas just because of what i've listed.

exactly
nothing is absolute
Oh shit, you're still on it man? :)
The MODS were forced to close the other thread because they have noticed that it's all BULLSHIT, you insistently arguing that Morales was not hurt despite being rushed to the hoispital with all sorts of injuries after the fight now you're here again trying to pull down Pacquaio.
Freitas would be too much for Pacquiao? The fight hasn't happened yet and you're already too sure of the results? Can you back that up man?
Shit and you were claiming not to be a hater. You're a HYPOCRITE buddy. :p
Don't even waste your time, Vanilla Gorilla is an idiot.
this is a nice match up i think.
Diaz can take a punch, good defense like winky. But Pac will take advantage of his defense which is vulnerable on body shots.
good post -even a pac fan can see that this match up is not heavily favored for either fighter as do i being a diaz fan
both have advantages and disadvantages
pac can move and has pop, he won't phone booth fight like suico, sim, or cotto. he's also got fast hands
but so does diaz, and alot of stamina. diaz's defensive skills are underestimated by some. but your right he gets hit on the gloves alot
i hope this fight happens.
although i'll pull for diaz, there is no clear favorite. it will be a war and i will be cool with whoever wins

Umm? Read this post and every other post on this thread and tell me where I brought up Morales not being hurt in the Pac fight ?
This is not about Morales anymore...forget that shit.
This is about the 135 division and whether or not Pac can hang. Freitas ? dude Freitas is a solid 135 pound fighter who could easily make 140. He's bigger , thicker , stronger with a big punch.
LMAO!!!!
No shit xcariot has been BANNED. :D
Finally the MODS noticed that this website will be better OFF without this guy. He has absolutely has no positive contribution to this website.
lol i dont see any posts where he had gotten more worse recently.. i guess he just continues to be stupid perhaps, and a consistent pace at that for earning a ban. that'll quiet the boards for awhile.
you're really really getting dumber every post. re-read my previous post again. i said pac's at a big disadvantage against 5'9 and above boxers. so why mention a 6-foot corrales?
you need more bananas to feed your brain chimp?
why mention a 6ft Corrales? cuz he's in the 135lb weight class and you seem to think that 130 & 135 are not that different. How about Freitas then ? He would still be too much for Pac and Freitas is only 5'7.
lol bitch, that thread started the whole fucking clan shit that is popping right now, thanks to me :D .. And btw, those useless threads are around alot of famous forums dumbass LOL!
Quit your hating bro, you just mad cause all you do is dream about having a latin girl by your side cause you know you cant, keep having those wetdreams son. peace!! :D
What's that?
Banned.
I don't know about all that, coming up in weight and easily beating Juan Diaz. Diaz is a non-stop punching machine with decent body power and a good chin. He's a good boxer too. If they ever meet in the ring, I don't think the fight's going to be as easy as some people think for Pman.
